Forgot to mention that you don't need to push any button to open the tailgate. Just stand there for a few seconds and it will open automatically.

You can't expect decent gas mileage if you're only averaging 17 mph. That means you did a lot of idling which is of course 0 mpg. Normal mixed driving should average somewhere near 34mph not 17 unless you're in NYC or LA.

Bought one. Seven miles later the engine siezed up. These puppies are on recall. Just make sure to ask your dealer 1) if the engine was on the recall from hyundai and 2) if it has, has the engine been replaced

What is the cause of oil light coming up if i hold brake it will come up if I removed my leg the brake it will go off

Interesting... with 2 rows of seats up in this, the cargo volume is only a hair more than the 2014 Nissan Rogue or Toyota Rav4. Not too impressive considering this is a much larger vehicle than those. I agree it is a nice vehicle overall though.

I know this is an old video, but i just bought a used one and have a question. I don't see a latch system in the 3rd row, only the 2nd (7 seater) for the smaller kids, is it recommended not to put carseats back there? I have a 4mo, 4yo and a 17 yo who is 5"11 and currently he has to crawl through the trunk to get back there lol. So... Can the carseats safetly go back there just using the seatbelt options for the carseats? Or does he have to suck it up? I Didnt know if you knew or not so any info would be great. The manual just says not in the front seat and mentions the latch system, but not whether or not they can go in the 3rd row without the latches. Thanks in advance.

This Santa Fe also known in Korea as Hyundai Maxcruz and overseas as Hyundai Grand Santa Fe. This replaces the Hyundai Veracruz.

Dave, how does this Santa Fe compare to the 2014 Toyota Highlander? You didn't mention the Highlander as a competitor, but I'd think most people would cross-shop those two models.

Well... if you have to go on holieday with 5 people (or even 6, but 5 ir more common) you don't even have space for luggages since they put only 2 seats in 2nd row... umh... not great :p

I am days away from a new vehicle (in NJ) and cannot decide- Santa fe sport or Honda CRV. I want some options,and a cool dashboard area. Looked like to get Navi pkg on SF, I must opt for other 2 pkgs as well- 3 pkgs with things I don't care about just to get navi. usually I'd say Honda for reliability but I see Hyundai has caught up. Any advice which edges out other on standard/optional features? My car is 15 yrs old, husband and I got together and he passed in Feb from cancer so now I have to do this alone. 2 kids as well, but they're not helping me decide...Thanks

I bought an AWD Santa Fe sport with pretty much everything off the lot. I love it, but I wish that they made more vehicles with manual transmission. Also, the only issue with this car is that it does not seem to have much pick up. Sometimes it feels like the trans is slipping but I figure that can't be- from the get go. Another reason I wanted stick- never had much problems;

My friend bought a 2014 Pathfinder. He is now on the his 2 transmission replacement within a year. I have replaced my 2007 transmission in my 2007 pathfinder and now i have a engine knock. I have lost faith in Nissan there reliability is awful.
