I got one a month ago, I charge it every night, after 1500 miles, i'm getting 147 miles per gallon, mostly short highway trips.

Thanks for the video! I've had my 2018 Clarity Touring since April of last year. 40 000km/26 000miles and only about 7000km/4500 miles in HV (i.e. burning fuel). I love it. Quiet, comfortable, huge, and dirt cheap to run! My per-km costs in EV (including maintenance) are down to about 1.8 cents. About 6 cents per in HV mode (usually with a completely depleted battery pack, since I run EV for as long as possible). I would buy one again in a heartbeat. Note also how much less there is for maintenance costs, as the gas motor, transmission (such as it has) is effectively along for the ride most of the time... Keep up the great work! Great review. Just in case Honda reads the comments... It could use either a better battery or at least a 10 gal gas tank. While at it, use the Honda Accord seats in this one, and rethink the drive mode buttons to allow more useful use of the space (maybe something like the Honda Insight.

You should have at least plugged it in for a few hours before driving it. A totally different driving experience when it's actually been charged.

I saw the Clarity - everything good about it but - Steering wheel controls are hard and sharp, not so soothing on the touch. Sun roof is definitely missed and interior with a suede leather and other hard material is not a feel good factor for interiors - personally I would want them soft touch even if it is not Suede leather. I would love to swap it for mine if at least the steering wheel controls are made softer. I am sure Honda can do it, their other models have those on them.

Or maybe he is their target market...the market looking for a sedan that is sized to fit adults and their stuff...the market that likes the way it drives as an EV for 90% of the necessary miles on battery but have no issues when going for the long haul with the gas engine...the market that wants to drive a nice looking car from a company that knows how to design and make one and has a history of doing so...like Honda.

Can't take those squared off rear wheel wells. Looks like my old 1984 Toyota Camry. Honda will be discounting these significantly in the very near future. No rear wheel upgrades on this vehicle.

We have a serious safety problem about this car! We bout the car 12/31/2018, and only 2 days at the day before yesterday evening dark, my daughter was drive on the freeway with battery have 2 bars. When she need speed, paddled to floor, the car just goes very slow, does not speed up. All other cars pass by and honk the horns pass by very fast. It is a dangerous and scary saturation! After get out freeway and she struggled getting home, I did test drive with her, drive on the hill the problem repeated. We sent the car to your service yesterday morning. Today their specialist called me, said the car is designed like this! You be the judge. Doe any one has this problem too?
