Wow this part of Virginia has the richest people and the nicest homes in the whole region.
For this episode of dashboard tours, I wanted to take a tour of the richest neighborhood in Virginia. Northern Virginia and the DC suburbs are well known as a region for some of the wealthiest people in the country. So I took I495 south into McLean Virginia to see just how fancy this part of northern Virginia really are. It was a Thursday in late March at around 11 am.
McLean Virginia is home to one of the wealthiest communities in the nation, where households average more than $200,000 a year annually. That puts McLean and the surrounding Washington DC metro area in northern Virginia in the top 10 nationwide for income levels. The typical house here is well over a million bucks and going up all the time. Most of the people who live here work in government, as entrepreneurs, contractors, doctors and lawyers.
We’re going to just wind around this part of McLean and see what it looks like. I was impressed by the size and style of the homes I’d see and I think you will too. Here’s the rest of McLean Virginia, one of the wealthiest pockets in the United States.
