And the myth that a businessman would make a great elected official, is just that, a myth. It's a totally different undertaking, and requires a totally different approach. A businessman can make a great elected official, but they have to change tactics, and Trumpty ain't learned shit, and isn't going to learn shit. And if he takes constructive criticism, it's only because he thinks it's going to benefit him solely. He isn't smart enough to be above the fray, but he is ruthless enough to use the fray to his advantage.

I agree. Listening to the lies dripping off Morning Joe’s lips, disturbs me. I hope and pray that evil will never be able to infiltrate my heart and soul with hatred of my fellow man , such as CNN, MSNBC, and many Mainstream Media have accepted as a normal way of life. If I wanted an upsetting day I would just have to listen to these disgusting excuses for humanity. I try to listen to both sides of an argument, but in politics today, hatred is so predominant, that I just worry about the quality of life my beautiful grandchildren may be forced to endure. Because hatred being a by product of evil, makes me realize how much evil has infiltrated our lives, through people who should know better.

Another ENTP here. I can also relate to Trump's way of thinking and acting. I'm pretty sure he's an ESTP, which means we have the same decision-making cognitive functions in the same positions in our cognitive function stacks. ENTPs have Ne (extraverted intuition) - Ti (intraverted thinking) - Fe (extraverted feeling) - Si (intraverted sensing). ESTPs have Se (extraverted sensing) - Ti (intraverted thinking) - Fe (extraverted feeling) - Ni (intraverted intuition). It totally makes sense to me that Trump prefers to get a lot of his input from talking to people rather than reading. That's the extraverted sensing at work. It's concrete, here and now, engaging the senses, just what the sensing functions like. Being an avid reader is more of an intuitive thing. You intuitively pick up ideas and detect patterns when you let your imagination engage with the material you're reading or watching or listening to. Languages are my strong suit and I've actually learned a lot of grammatical rules in different languages without anybody teaching them to me, just by noticing patterns in texts I was reading. When I'm learning a language, I start reading in that language, even though I don't yet understand enough to really follow the story well. I learn intuitively without really noticing it, until at the end of the book I notice that I have learned enough to understand 75% of the last chapters while I only understood 25% of the early chapters. Just picking up the meaning of words and grammatical structures from context. Both personality types aim at making logical decisions which also benefit the community around them, be it your family, friends, colleagues or the whole country. It's easy to brand ENTPs and to a lesser degree ESTPs as ditzy, because we build an internally coherent logical structure through thinking, but we don't always show to others all that we are thinking. We do show our information gathering by throwing in the air half-thought ideas to elicit feedback, so we can be sure we have looked at the matter from multiple angles and are not forgetting something crucial. Politics has long been a domain of extraverted Thinkers (Te) who defer to authorities to validate their thinking. Intraverted thinkers who don't trust anybody's say-so without checking for themselves and who come up with unorthodox ideas shock the extraverted thinkers and their neatly organized ideas of how the hierarchy should be built up.
@robmangeri777
@robmangeri777 9 часов назад
@@TheTygertiger very well said! Now you have me curious about using reading to improve my language acquisition. Reading Dickens in high school started off slow for me (antiquated English) but I got comfortable less than half way through A Tale of Two Cities (great book). It’s a shame that many people can’t look beyond the probing coming from ENTPS by which we are simply ironing out concepts from all perspectives. My 16 year old son is ESTP and he is brilliant, controversial, extremely charismatic, a lot of fun and a magnetic natural leader. He pokes the hornet nest CONSTANTLY but in the process those around him feel like he knows them and cares about them more than anyone. I can see that in Trump.

Had the fame truly gone so far to his head that he neglected his solemn duty to put the Republic first? So Mattis didn’t want to follow orders from his superior, so resigned. Simple really. I wonder what would happen if Mattis 3 star 2 star and other subordinates didn’t follow his orders? That would be reasons for a court Marshall I’d imagine?

Thank you for explaining what happened with General Mattis. I respect why he resigned, but I still don’t like anyone bad mouthing someone over a difference of opinion. My question to Gen. Mattis is would he have done that to a superior officer in the military? My guess is he would not have, and so he should have given the President the same respect. After all, the President is the Commander and Chief. The bad mouthing Gen. Mattis did after leaving office is where he lost my respect.

Mattis = "..served as a member of the General Dynamics Board of Directors.[79] Between 2013 and 2017, while on the board of General Dynamics, Mattis made more than $900,000 in compensation, including company stock.[80] ...In August 2013, he was appointed an Annenberg Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution[81] ...in 2016 he was named the Davies Family Distinguished Visiting Fellow.[82][23] (this is at Stanford) ...From 2013 to January 2017, Mattis was a board member of Theranos, a health technology company that claimed to have devised revolutionary blood tests using very small amounts of blood, which was later determined to be a fraudulent claim by the US Securities and Exchange Commission." - Pulled from Wikipedia, backed up by other sources Ties to the industrial military complex Ties to the University complex Ties to a fraudulent medical company Interesting stuff. "On December 20, 2018, after failing to convince Trump to reconsider his decision to withdraw all American troops from Syria," from Wikipedia, backed up by other sources So he quit because he wanted us to stay in a war. Got it.

I worked for billionaire businessman for five years and had multiple one on one conversations with him. I was a very low level employee but he would ask me a question and he never liked or disliked my answers. What he would always do is question how I came to my conclusion on my answer. He wanted to know the thought process to support my thoughts. It was very unsettling to have to explain your thought and feelings but in no way was he angry or mean with my answers.

At the end of the day, you do what the Boss said to do. Mattis could not do that, he thinks he is smarter. He is not a team player, if the team is not going the way he wants. So leaving is what he choices, The miss is, it would come up why he chose to leave. He did not want the truth to come out, that he thought he had the best Ideas all the time. So from his point of view Trump is a mess and hard to work with. He said what he did to save face with everyone who talked with him about it.

Mattis may have been a good military man, but Mattis moved up into the political wing of the military. The top of the military as JFK found out right after his inauguration, is not often that great. It’s not great because it’s almost entirely political. Mattis is part of the machine.
