One thing to remember about Chapter 2 - it was the chapter during the lockdowns. We all met people in Squad Fills that we would not ordinarily get to meet - because many people turned to video games during the lockdowns. The people I play FN with now are a subset of those people I met in Chapter 2. We've stayed close since 2021.
I had the misfortune of being an "essential worker" during lockdown (someone had to keep up maintenance on the electrical power grid i guess...) so I missed most of chapter 2. whatever they do for 2OG, i just hope there's either abundant mobility for zero build or there's some cover so we don't have to cross vast wide open spaces with nothing but overshields as protection. and maybe also some actual ranged weapons. ... a man can dream
My girlfriend and I started playing Fortnite last year at the beginning of Ch5S1 and mostly played Lego Fortnite. We just missed the OG Season, so looking forward to being able to experience the OG Ch2 this time around.
What i wish they would do was combine all the seasons into 1, like have a mix of the season exclusive Bosses and POIs with the same loot pool throughout
Since I started at the beginning of Chapter 5, I'm gonna be really sad to see it go. It's hurtful enough when we lose a POI like Reckless. Now we're gonna lose the entire map. It'll be exciting to try new things but it's like moving out of the house you grew up in. 😢
Lol Ch2S3 was the first season I ever played, I thought the water gimmick was so cool. I'm really looking forward to this year's OG, but I'm especially hype for Chapter 6 afterwards
I came back and properly played Fortnite last season at the tail end. Not too many crazy mythics and it was pretty grounded. Cars were just a pain XD. This season, I enjoy it but god the amount of OP items you have to adapt against on the fly is such a headache haha. Definitely excited to see what the OG map feels and plays. Are we getting rid of gun mods too? If so- then I need start practicing more on Reload
I personally can't wait for Chapter 5 to be over. I have a feeling Epic Games will embrace a back to basics mentality, mods will probably be removed and some other new gimmick will take its place as the main mechanic of next chapter.
me, i cant wait to see what y'all been whining about. i started playing ch5s1 and really liked most stuff since then (except for magneto gloves and ironman gloves).
I only started in chapter 5 s2 and I’m honestly excited to experience all the og stuff. I only play ZB but I’m over all these extra gadgets since s3 lol and hope this will make everything a bit more actual…skill reliant? Obvs I don’t know what the loot pool was like back then but it looks more simplistic which I think I’m gonna like
This will be my first time playing OG so I'm curious if I'll like it or hate it.. My son is excited for it so hopefully I will... But he was also really bummed out when jet packs got vaulted when I wasn't..😂😂
This will be a good season for those who are good with traditional play style and don’t like the spammy items. Might be a headache for more of the ZB casual players but will still be good practice on basic mechanics and movement.
@@cash5512 Agreed. But I think if you compare it to nitro fists/magneto/iron man/war machine/caps shield/chainsaw/firebending/waterbending/zeus lightening and chains of hades, it was pretty tame in comparison. 😂
I'm excited to play Chapter 2, as I started Fortnite during S2. I, too, am curious to how S3 turns out. Do they flood it again and do like you said with water receding every few hours? That season was fun to play. I hope you enjoy going back to Chapter 2.
I’m really glad the season is coming up. This is what Fortnite is supposed to be. I hate the overpowering weapons and I won’t use them. I’d rather get a win with my guns, then with weapon of mass of destructive power. That kind of win feels cheap to me.
I’m just excited to go back to the Chapter 2 map, it was absolutely goated. Especially the early Seasons of it though, I stopped paying Fortnite after Chapter 2 Season 4 (until my return in Season OG) so I can’t speak on the rest of the Seasons. Honestly it’s not even nostalgia bias, well maybe a little, but pretty much every POI was good in my opinion, with my personal favorite being Slurpy Swamp. That’s where I’ll be landing first.
Only started playing in December of last year so I’m really excited to see what that map holds! I’m sure I’ll be at a disadvantage because I won’t know the map! 😢

I started playing Fortnite literally at the beginning of this year, so Chapter 5 Season 1, have been so obsessed so far. I’m excited to see what OG is all about, I will just miss the gatekeeper 🙃 lol
@@duskraiderci I’m looking forward to it though, I know a ton of the mythic items this chapter were extremely hated on by my many players. While their chaotic nature was fun for a moment, such as the chains of hades, magneto power, arsenal, cars with turrets, etc., it did get annoying super quick. I kept imagining how the gameplay would be if we had no mythics and just shockwaves for mobility, I think it’d make it much more interesting
I feel like I’m not going to have a good time… I started during chapter 5 season 3 zero build only and feel like I will have huge disadvantage with going back to anything that was out before… We will see what happens 🤷♂️ just feel like I’ll be going from 200 plus solo wins a season to about 100 😬
Really did not like the last OG season at all. I had played that map enough allready. This time I’m slightly optimistic. Really enjoyed the bosses and I really hope we get the flooded map and the sharks. I found it new and exciting and I actually hope we get something of that kind in a regular season again.
I really enjoyed chapter 1 OG and I'm really looking forward to Ch2 OG, as I never played those chapters originally. Plus I'm not really enjoying the modern fornite with all projectile weapons, medallions and weapon mods. It's too much housework and not enough OG gunplay.
so is the OG season coming to regular BR? (actual question, will we be able to solo queue or be hardlocked into teams in seperate mode?) I keep seeing so much conflicted info on this at different places.
I can't imagine anyone pushing back on old style gameplay after we just finished the worst chapter in Fortnite history. Choosing a week of C2S1 is madness. We already suffered through that 125 days of it. No movement and just green ARs and bots. They will have cars day 1 of OG because they are selling them in the shop.
I don't understand the hate that Chapter 2 Season 1 gets, like I get it went for ages back in the day, but 7 days of it will be fine. I started playing in Chapter 1 Season 3 and I felt like Chapter 2 Season 1 was actually quite good, as it was back to basics - especially after the mess with the mechs in Season X. Looking forward to going back for a month! I just hope Chapter 6 is a bit more like Fortnite... Chapter 5 sucked 🤣
chapter 2 map was awesome, unfortunately for it, it had to fallow the OG map and epic give it no real content, it wasn't the maps fault, it was covid time when that map came out, it never stood a chance
Honestly just excited to go back to Chapter 2. I started playing Chapter 2, season 7. So it'll be a familiar(ish) map from when I first fell in love with this silly battle royale game.
No mobility? Oh no, that means you will need skills to win. You will actually have to be good to win with no super powers of destruction. It's gonna suck for many of you LOL

Not to be a hypocrite but I feel like u need to be logical and at least explain how and why instead of glazing the past because others say it's a good thing for whatever reason.
@@favianescobar2292because nothing they added this chapter made the game better. I don’t want to see any of these items ever again. The movement sucks. Bullet drop might be the worst addition ever and the graphics hurt my head
