People either don't know how to drive manual or don't want to. 99.9% of the population just wants a fun car for their commute. As someone who loves manual transmission sports cars, I get why no one wants them. They're just a PITA to drive on a daily basis, especially if your commute, like most people, involves stop-and-go traffic in a city.

The Toyota I6 that anyone wanted is a completely new engine, and optimizing it to Toyota standards (according to Toyota) would shoot the price up to over 100k. It wasn't going to be an updated engine (unlike the Z), but a new bespoke engine (and from their experience, that is bound to fail)

Maybe Toyota has some existing V6 technology for instance to update the Supra. The future Supra. Living and dreaming... I heard the BMW inline-6 is going away. It's going to be 4 and 3-cyl. hybrids for the Bavarians.

Like how the skyline has rb26 which is "the skyline engine" it's a bit dissapointing that toyota put in a B58 which is common in other bmw cars. However, after owning the 2020 supra for a day (448/1500), i feel as though there doesn't need more power for sure. Going from 60 mph to 110mph was walk in the park with the supra seriously. If there were any more power i would be a bit scared to drive it. It's already fast enough
