We’ve all heard of hereditary and non-hereditary cancers. And the differences between the two sound obvious enough. But do you really know how they differ? Most people have gross misconceptions about their differences. In this video tutorial, I’ll make it impossible for you to overlook or forget their differences ever again.

I'm ever blown away by the amount of work that you do to educate us all - and all of it is difficult, hard work. It's hard to present the arguments in a way that is intellectually accessible to all, but you do it. It must be hard for you to knot the scarf with the arthritis in your hands but you either do it or have someone do it for you. You try to think of the best ways to illustrate the point you're making, buy the supplies, ..... There's so much that you must do to bring this information to us. It's a lot of work. I certainly appreciate how taxing it must be for you, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Thank you, Dr. Taylor. ❤

This is so, so thoughtful of you, my dear Salvia. I will do pretty much anything to give you the menopause education you deserve. At times, I burst our laughing at myself because of what I devise. And if I can't do something, I call on my wonderful personal assistant, Simon, to help me. Thank you so much for your kind words.

Looking forward to a new unit. Appreciate this unit on cancer. It's a downer subject but also important to know this information. I will have to watch a lot of them over again to understand some of this content. Some of it just flew way over my head. It was too much information which made my brain go 🤯

I was all ears and learned something new. I had no idea genetic testing after a diagnosis of cancer existed. That will be helpful in treating a cancer specifically to that individual. I am looking forward to the surprise next week. 💕

Hi Barbie, is it true that IUD’s can cause ovarian cysts? I just had one put in because my oral progesterone was giving me too many side effects. I feel great with the Mirena IUD but now are hearing claims that it causes ovarian cysts. Thank you for all that you do!

Welcome aboard to "Menopause Taylor University." You'll find that if you start at the very first video (going by the number after each title), you'll understand absolutely everything. And you'll be shocked at what you didn't know, and delighted that you now do know. Each video builds on the last. It's just like school: You had to learn the alphabet before you could read. And nowadays, there are so many overwhelming misconceptions that women mistake as facts ... that you just don't know what you don't know. I respond to all comments here on RU-vid daily. So, I will answer all your questions ... but I'll also know if you aren't watching the videos in order. (I'm like your mother. I have eyes in the back of my head!) And if you need me to help you tailor anything to your personal situation, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME any time. I do them all online. I will school you in how to find the right doctor FOR YOU in a consultation.

Thank you for explaining! My Mom had breast cancer that took her. I assume there is no way to know whether it was hereditary or not? I had undergone testing to see whether I have BRCA2, and I do not. But I follow the logic of your video correctly (you say gene mutation affects all cells and all organs) and if my Mom had hereditary breast cancer then testing for the gene for breast cancer alone isn't enough? My Mom could have had a cancer in a different organ and pass a gene for it to me?
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor Год назад
Olya, I am so sorry about your mom. This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

A little late, but I'm here! Why do women with BRCA gene not get cancer young? Will that be addresses in the breast cancer unit? Thankfully no hereditary cancers in my family, either side. I managed to get non-hereditary uterine cancer.

I'll be giving you a huge unit on breast cancer. It will begin on May 30, 2023 and consist of 55 videos. (I've already shot that whole unit and the one after, on ovarian cancer.)

Dr. Taylor, I was wondering if you could advise your viewers on the new HRT drugs Duavive and Tibolone. My GYN says these are the new and best HRT's. What are your thoughts on these medications.
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor Год назад
PLEASE, PLEASE never adopt a product focus. The words "good," "bad," "right," "wrong," "better," "worse," and "best" are marketing words. NOTHING is best for all women. You will never see me push a single product or management style. That's because I'm an educator, not an advertiser. If you want me to tailor everything specifically to YOU to determine what's best FOR YOU, I can do that in a consultation, which you can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online. Tibolone is not new. Duavee is about 3 years old. But new does not mean better.

@@MenopauseTaylor Dr Taylor It's just what my GYN is pushing on me. I had a blood test it showed i'm in menoapuse. In Canada there is nothing to indicate that my HRT is protecting my heart, bones and brain. Only do I have any menopausal systems and because I was on Birth Control til 54. I got none to only 3 night sweats that's it. So why or how can I know for sure I'm giving my body the help for the future???

If a person is in perimenopause is it detrimental to take estrogen? Would that cause cancer?
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor Год назад
Oh my! You have been terrorized. Why in the world would you think your own female hormone, produced by your own body (just like all your other hormones) would cause cancer? Does insulin replacement cause cancer? Does thyroid hormone replacement cause cancer? If you want me to tailor everything specifically to YOU so that you can do precisely what's best FOR YOU, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.
