I watched this movie in 1992 when it was 500 year of its anniversary. I was 10 year old back then and gave me enough uneasiness to consider not to watch a movie without knowing its story.

Since when has the RC church ever cared about the teachings of jesus, or anything biblical, the Roman sun-god Mary cult don't even hide it. They're still doing this sort of thing, only they use underhand methods like poisons, the RC secret orders like opus dai, the knights of st Columba in the uk and Ireland and other jesuit orders. Keep lists of protestants, masons even there own kind who step outside the church in saying having a divorce might meet a sticky end , usually a massive unexpected heart attack or stroke .
