Loved Main Street in the Grand. So pretty & magical & so was the Passion Play Theater. Very missed & so is the good music & Tammy.

Thanks for posting this. From time to time, I google my grandpa's name "Richard Dortch," and I never know what will pop up. This is how I remember him. I've been here quite a few times over the years, but I've never said thank you. So, thanks!

I wish that MorningStar held events like this at Heritage. Their style of worship is a little different from what the PTL Partners were used to. I don't see why they can't try to appeal to all Christians by having some less "hard core" music from time to time - something along the lines of this would be uplifting and encouraging.

@AZUREE100 Unfortunately Jim and Tammy had resigned about a month before this clip. However, at this time the ministry still had their support behind them, which is why you still see Richard Dortch and Howard and Vestal.

It's sad that it is no longer actually there as it was when Tammy and Jimmy had it. Houses are on what was once was the water park. Progress. Yeah right!

I would read Tammy Faye's book and you will find out that Mr.Dortch was not as nice or to be trusted as some people might think during the PTL years.

Jim and Tammy really did nothing wrong. In my opinion, They were scandalized by the world and so called Christian friends that they trusted. They should have stood their ground because this truely was a beautiful place where Jesus was Alive and WELL! They built all this for the partners to enjoy a little bit of heaven on Earth and may have gotten over their heads a bit trying to build up and keep up.... but that was no reason to attack them as they did back then. This was their living. Sure they kept some of the money for themselves to live off of! We all fall short of the glory of God...Jim had a one night stand with a money hungry woman with a plan to threaten for money. Jerry Fallwel scandalized them and made them look like greedy people. They found their weakness and attacked them. But there was nothing wrong with the wonderful ministry they had that loved all Christian's and people. A Christian Park. That was awesome!

I read Tammy Faye's 1996 autobiography in the later years Richard Dortch wanted slowly to take away the PTL ministry. She also said that Mr.Dortch would go to Mr.Falwell and tell him what is going on at PTL. Tammy said that after, she and Jim left, Mr. Dortch, The Goodmans, and the Heritage singers decided to take Mr.Falwell's side and stand up for the Bakkers. Also in her book Mr.Dortch served time for his involvement in PTL's finances. To me these people are putting on false smiles and pretending nothing is wrong, when you can clearly see these people stabbed Jim and Tammy in the back for siding with Jerry Falwell. After, PTL closed for good between 1988 and 1989, The Goodmans wanted nothing to do with the Bakkers or at least Tammy Faye and went on with their lives as if nothing happened. That is not what I call being a good or nice Christian.
