Because He Lives Doug Oldham & PTL Club Closing 

The great Doug Oldham. Saw him in person at concert in Des Moines in 80's. It was my grandmother's 93rd birthday and he came to our table to congratulate her and talk to us. He was so kind and gracious. C)next was so wonderful it brought tears. Know he is singing in that Hevenly choir with all the great voices. 🙏⚘🕊

I forgot about Doug and then his name jumps in my brain. Whole family use to watch him on PTL. I believe it was his Mother that was the sister of my Grandpa. Eunice Brown??? My grandpa was Glenn Brown.

Didn't care for PTL, bit Doug had a spectacular voice. Grew up on him and The Gaithers.

RNS) Doug Oldham, a prolific gospel singer and ministry partner of the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, died July 21 (2010) at the age of 79. Oldham, who was a soloist at Falwell's Thomas Road Baptist Church and helped the evangelist raise money to start Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., died at a Virginia hospital while awaiting back surgery.

I go to church at the old PTL Building.

I worked at PTL some in the early 80"s when they made the lights ready for Christmas Also helped set up other things around PTL I always liked Jim and Tam they were great people to get along with. Tammy was a lot of fun just before the PTL show started she joked aroung with most of the people and made fun of the Q-Cards we set up for the show! Before the show was half over they were so far from script on the cards they just ran it as the went!

Too bad the sound is SOOO AWFUL! Digital JUNK! Analog sound s SOOO much better!
