It’s more than wins and losses. Yeah he’ll be judged on that, but he’s been around football for over 30 years. He knows how to coach. I also said he’s a leader of men. It’s also beyond football. Coach Herm is a great coach, leader and mentor. I wish he would have been my HS football coach. He’ll prove his naysayers wrong this year

First Name Last Name As I recall, Nick Saban was a horrible NFL coach, perhaps worse then Herm. And yet, he's regard as one of the best college coaches of all time. So, it is irrelevant to compare NFL coaching to College coaching, it's a different game...

Psalm 112: 7-8 I'll tell you this much and you take it for what it's worth my brother....You learn more about yourself in how you handle a loss then when you win. Winning is easy to accept, defeat isn't. I rather a group of guys with good character then men that are super talented with bad character....

Man, I don’t want to sound corny but god damn it’s good to see that good older men are still raising good young men , with all the shit going on in our government and our media it’s nice to know there are still youngins coming up with the power of respect and admiration of duty... the way this country is going ... we may need a lot of these kids joining the front lines in 4years ...

End of first of the season, Herm Edwards is 7-5. ASU was predicted to be 3-9 in this season but ended the season as 7-5. Most of the games that ASU lost has been determined by a TD and a score. No blowout game. ASU is going to play the bowl game in December.

Where does that knee jerk response come from? The Jet organization was filled with haters. And the Chiefs? He lost way more than he won. Are those stats haters, too? No team in NFL wanted to hire him in the last decade. All haters? --Or maybe he wasn't very good and UR THE HATERS for not facing up to that fact.

Maybe he’s a a better CFB coach than NFL. So far he’s proving ppl wrong. Hope the man can give the devils a winning season and bowl appearance... then it should improve from there.

@@PaladinPoppie hes got the swagger and personality where young men can relate and like him, hes got the skills and knowledge to teach the young kids who will like him and thus be more devoted to listen to him, hes got the intimidating leadership attitude to keep those young kids in line... perfect for a college coach. Never watched ASU as much since seeing this video prior to last season, beat usc and oregon with 90% sophomores and freshmen, what's next year going to look like???

I read a few comments saying antics and rah-rah don't win games, you are correct but Herm is doing it right...he is teaching these young men character to thank the people behind the scenes ...these kids are motivated to play for him because he relates...a kid in the comments says he would play for him...I see a lot of what another program is doing and they are quite successful and they told that coach he was crazy as well

Never met Herm in person, hopefully one day I will hear him speak in person. He's definitely someone you want coaching your kids. Values, determination, grit and priorities all come to mind when I hear him speak. Everyone (age/race/sex) that listens to him speak can benefit from what he has to say!! I will be following ASU's team this year. Wishing him all the best.
