Nooo! Please go back into the store & speak with your SA - the colour is so standard, they should replace them (or get them repaired), no questions asked.
Hermes quality took a nose dive when the birkin went mainstream…the strap on my Hermes Apple Watch started splitting after a few wearings. Just the strap alone retails for 890.00. Ridiculous 😑
I'd return. But I have 2 pairs, the same color as you and black. I just got back from vacation (tropical location, lots of moisture in the air, sand on the ground) and wore my "gold" pair a lot. No peeling of leather. I also wear lotion and oil on my feet, so I don't think that's the issue like some people are saying (ashy feet are a thing). But I would've returned mine in a heartbeat if this were happening. I was more worried about excessive rippling/creasing of the leather on the "H"/top portion of the sandal. I haven't had that issue yet either. I ordered my shoes from the Hermes website (even though I have an Hermes store near me). I've been pleasantly surprised by mine. Are they worth the price? Of course not. But it was a nice splurge for me and I don't regret it so far.
I sprayed mosquitoe spray on me once and it actually melted my leather sandles in spots that I had purchased from Abercrombie and Fitch. Obviously not as high end but still real leather. Learned my lesson about mosquitoe spray the hard way. Return those shoes! Not worth the money if it's defective.
I live in Paris and I have a shoemaker friend who repairs those sandals on a daily basis and Hermès makes the quality lower and lower, year by year, I often see the interior of those sandals, there is cardboard… They cost around 20€ to make. I would never pay what they cost at the shop. You’ve been duped! This brand is a scam!!!
I have had the exact same ones as you for two years now. I wear them al lot, like a lot, a lot! Almost every day all summer long. Mine still look almost the exact same as they did the day I bought them. No lifting of the leather whatsoever! Must be an issue in your pair.
Thank you Hannah! Most people did say it shouldn’t be happening. I have sense taken them in to Hermes for repairs! It’s going to take them a year to fix them. I think it was just a bad batch.
You paid so much for a pair of (ordinary) designer shoes that has quality poorer than a pair of normal sandals you can buy in any supermarkets. And it probably costs less than 10% of the price at Hermes. 🙄 This is truly a scam.
Omg! We have the same problem! I thought I was the only one having this quality issue! I tried to reach them out through email and asked for a replacement or refund but unfortunately, they won't allow a refund or replacement when bought through online purchase. So I told them it was my right to claim a refund or replacement because of a faulty pair and obviously it was only worn a couple of times maybe 4 times. So they responded to a call after 2 days and gave me a workaround and told me that to ship the pair to them and they will investigate the pair and if it qualifies for a replacement, they will replace it but it will take 6 months to 1 year for the investigation. So I asked them why it will take that long, and they responded, if it's proven a quality issue, other pairs with the same batch production may be affected and they will recall all the pairs within the batch.
Thank you for your feedback!! I've been finding some people who got them around the same period are having similar issues. So I'm wondering if it was a bag batch. I have them in for repairs. 💖
I have the same color and I purchased mine in February but they’re perfectly fine and I’m not “careful” with mine. I think it happens if you put lotion on your feet.
Thank you for the constructive feedback! I actually dont put lotion on my feet. (outing myself for having dry feet) 😂. I've been hearing that some people who got them around the same time frame are having similar issues. Might get been a fluke accident.
Same problem for my hermes villa. It's almost 2years for me, but I only wore a few times because the weather outside here in the Middle East is too hot, but still peeling on that area 😢
Thank you for your comment! I've been getting a lot of feedback that Orans purchased in this time frame are having problems. Might have been a bad batch! 😫
I have the same one and colour. I got mine this year and start wearing it May. I dont wear them alot. After 2 wears, it started to peel off. Im afraid wearing it alot because it's Not cheap
They should be able to fix that for you if they are authentic. Hermès quality is impeccable and I’ve never experienced this on any of my shoes from them. Something like this happening so soon would raise a question to authenticity for me. I have a pair of Oran sandals in the same color that I’ve had for 2 years. Still look brand new
Am i the only one who read oral like three times and wondered why such weird name for a sandal..? Also, those are giving me grandma house slipper vibes and I just can't 🤪
O man my mom bought me some Tory Burch sandals that gave me blisters between my toes I called the store and told them about it their stupid answer was that they couldn’t do anything about it so now they’re just collecting dust in my closet
I bought them, tried them and returned them immediately - they are extremely basic in design for a luxury purchase. If you want a simple logo leather slides, go for Dolce & Gabbana or even Gucci, both of which look so much better.
I understand that! They are basic. Personally I love that about them, however totally understand your point! Which specific styles do you like the most?

@@realgirlluxury Absolutely, I love them too! And I totally agree with you, if you like them, you should wear them. Nothing wrong in owning your personal style. I just could not justify the price for the style. I love the Dolce & Gabbana leather slides because the have a slight heel in the flat slides which are way more comfortable for walking. I own a pair in white with 2 inch heels and I have walked miles in them. The same goes for Gucci interlocking slides. Both of these slides are way cheaper than Hermes. Honestly, I really wanted to keep the Hermes one, but I could not justify the functionality. Nice to meet a fellow youtuber who actually responds to comments 🥰
@@PinkAprilDiaryStyle Those are lovely options!! Style is so personal it's fun to discuss the different options though! I do like a slight heel! Maybe I'll add those to my wishlist based on your recommendation! 💓 The RU-vid community is why were here and love chatting with awesome people like you! 💓💓💓

I’m on your number 11 so I’m not the only one, I don’t feel so bad now. She must’ve got a bad batch because I don’t have any problems with any of them.. I’d love to see what colors you have
I have like 5 orans with me but it never happens to me. You should take them to store and ask to your SA about this problem. Even one of my oran went into the ocean and got all wet but still my oran looks ok
Thank you so much for the help!! I ended up taking them in and they are in for repairs. I think it was just a bad batch. Many people who got theirs during the same time frame had the same problem. 😫♥️
I got a pair of Oasis sandals in Rose Gold and the “metallic finish” on the leather started peeling of after a couple of wears. I contacted Hermès customer service and sent the sandals back and got a full refund. Wearing designer shoes that are peeling it’s a no for me!
I ordered online and my sandals came with glue on one of the sandals near the stitching. Didn’t bother to deal with returns or exchanges but pretty embarrassing.
Same thing happened to me. I refuse to buy another pair. Happened to my poppy orange pair and my- I think they are called “gold” pair, the same ones you have. Also received my Hermes loafer with creases in the toe area prior to wearing them.
Take the shoes back to the store, they will give you brand new ones as it’s clearly quality issue :) I never had any problems with Hermes shoes but I know for a fact that they are really good when it comes to repairs/quality problems.
A cobbler can make them with a quality leather in just less than $100 and they also gonna last longer than these branded shit. Please people stop paying for brands name 10× more than products actual price (included labor costs and shipping charges)😂😂
hermes uses manufacturing techniques that are a bit outdated, because they definitely care more about aesthetics>function. it’s not for everyone. if it rlly bothers u that much maybe dont buy their stuff?
The same thing happened to my sandals after wearing them just a few times. I have two pair of the oran sandals, and both look exactly like your sandals, but worse.
Ridiculous. Take them back. One year to fix? They can’t replace them? I’d be livid. You need a personal shopper to fix this. Bad customer service Hermes.
I bought a pair of keen sandals back in 2008, i just bought a new pair( identical to the original off eBay)a month ago. That’s what quality was or is because before the pair from a month ago, I bought a new pair but different style absolute garbage so I sent them back.
Not for orans but I had quality issues with 2 pairs of my Encens 50 sandals.. the edge paint was coming off after just a day of use… :( for 1,300 SGD shoes this is just sad.. They said to repair it, I have to wait 8months. Absolutely sad for the price. Looking at your video it looks like it’s a common problem nowadays…
It seems evident that you are a strong supporter of the Hermes brand. With that said, they know you. Why would they not offer you a replacement? A repair that takes a year, while they have your money from the purchase and you don't have the product, would be unacceptable to most. Regardless of the time to repair, maybe you should have another discussion with your SA, regarding a replacement.
Try putting lotion on the back of ur feet but it’s just a culottes thing it happeneds reach out to the designer and let them know it’s problem the coloring of the leather or how they treated the leather
@@realgirlluxury I am having the exact same issue with mine, bought them this week, worn twice and the leather is peeling off where the heel and logo are located…I thought it was normal use ? But after 2 days ?! These are 1/2K shoes lol. I’m leaving on holidays for a week and want to take them with me. Should I contact Hermès after coming back or just not wear them until Then ?
I’m actually now up to 11 pairs and I have had not one problem with any of them. Hoping your issue was fixed and of course I love seeing your videos every day, I think we could be related.!!
Guys you seriously need to stop being desperate for labels. No one who’s genuinely wealthy accepts crap service. We work hard for our money, stop accepting sub par products out of embarrassment. Send that crap back with a strongly worded letter.
Return them. Why keep them? If they weren’t Hermes you would’ve returned them, right? It makes less sense to keep overpriced sandals that would be $30 based on actual material and craftsmanship just because of the name. There’s plenty of similar styles that are probably better made. Hermes will never improve if people keep buying. Why change when sales are high? It’s mind boggling.
Hii ! I have mines since August last year, and I wore them like a looot during summer and still had summer vacation on December now, but still really beautiful, maybe yours are having some problems, and just avoid putting to much cream on the feet because it can soften the leather, My heart just break because of the sole rubbing, but you can't do much for it !
How much did you pay for them… you should have taken them back straight away. If they were $20, I couldn’t be bothered with the effort but any more and I’m asking for a fix.
@@realgirlluxury - they should have just replaced it since the quality is poor. For that expensive slippers I am expecting it to be in perfect condition
Whatever everyone raves about I dont buy; its inevitable that quality will drop. I dont want to see my shoes coming and going on a good portion of the population.
