You could sell unique packages of premium fireworks in bundles and shulker boxes, each with their own goofy names like some of the fireworks packages that are sold IRL.

The little bursts at your shop are adorable. It's rare to see the particles so up close. Your interaction with Bdubs really sparkled. I really liked the mutual back and forth helping one another with shops. I am so into the interactions this season. Bdubs is right, the firework permit is so you, you really shine. you should do some "grand opening" marketing. lots of hermits might be thinking of opening up their shops or rebuilding their starter ones. a firework show would not only draw people to their shop but also market yours! and grand openings are very fun. there could be ribbon cuttings and little speeches and food stalls (beef and xb might be interested in that.) there could even be little bundle gift bags for those who show up if the shop owner likes that idea! go all in :D

Maybe make paintball? Or other mini games like that to get people to buy rockets?

Much like the post office "giving away" the mailbox, I think Cub could do something similar with the fireworks. The nighttime display system is free (or a one time low-low price), but charge for the refills. Might require a bit of re-configuration of the system's he's already installed to just inject pre-made fireworks from the factory, but I think this would be an easy way to generate demand for more displays server wide, with the added bonus of fulfilling Cubs dream he spoke about. I too can imagine that day, and if anyone can make it reality, it's Cub.

Cub, one launcher going off multiple times is way less impressive than seversl launchers going off simultaneously. If you want to sell fireworks, you should demonstrate a bigger display! Set up 5 or 6 of these things in an arc around the back of Bdubs house- or wherever you want to do the demo. Picking a spot with something tall to frame will improve the look, as you could have the explosions go off all around and above the build. Make the fireworks pop off in sequence and also at the same time when the show is ending for a grand finale. And make sure each launcher includes different heights to fill the whole vertical column of the sky! You can use an awesome display to then sell a custom service where you do consulting, helping to design and then build custom fireworks installations. You can charge way more for this, make reslly interesting collaborative content, and if you get a few big installs then more people would buy more fireworks more often. You could even make it a subscription service!

if you're planning to do a grab-bag sort of thing with the randomly crafted fireworks, you could use bundles to get up to a whole stack of them in one inventory slot rather than taking up a full shulker box with only slightly more than a stack (27x3=81?) then its a blind bag, too, surprise firework bag!

Depending on how much redstone you want to do self-service custom fire works, the hermits select the options they want with buttons how many they want. It indicates how much per firework. It then makes the rockets and charges them.

Who knew we were missing more fireworks across pervious seasons of Hermitcraft. Thank you Cub for showing us the way. Can’t wait to just see fireworks in random Hermits’ videos the rest of the season.

Marketing idea: set up special times the Hermits can go to the displays at Bdubs and Keralis' bases. They all get to try to guess the next random firework to be produced. If they get it right, they get a free stack of that firework. Probably no one wins, but it draws them there, turns it into a bit of a game/event, and demonstrates how many different combos there are. Maybe if you want people to win, they only have to get the color right or something; might want to turn off the ability for trail effect to be chosen in that case though.

Another marketing strategy could be "buy your friend a firework show"

For the rocket sales, I might recommend a shulker with a whole fireworks show, 9 stacks of small, 3 stacks of some mediums and a few sets of the big bois for the grand finale

It would be fun to hold events (you could call them “build a boom workshops”) where hermits pay to make a custom stack/box of rockets under your guidance, and/or you could set up a set by step system in the shop that they can pay to use (same concept as Zedaph’s potion producer from a few seasons ago) to make custom rockets on their own.

Cub was so kind to help bdub with his scaffolding sales pitch in that manner. Very cool.

I remember watching fireworks championships during the late summer as a kid. Climbing up a mountain at the outskirts of Stockholm and looking at this barge in the middle of a bay for about an hour or more, waiting for the shows to start, a different country represented each night... You had to be in good time or else you would miss out on the best spots. Dad packed a picnic basket and my siblings and I gathered and just waited until the sky lit up in bursts of color and loud bangs echoed all over the city. And mind you, during summers in Sweden the sun only sets for one or two hours, so you had to stay up really late to catch these shows. It didn't matter if you fell asleep on the blanket though, because who would have guessed, proffesional pyrotechnicians love thems a good loud boom...

If you're looking for funny ways to promote Cuboom, you could install a few dispensers that fire horizontally, figure out where flight duration 1, 2, and 3 rockets end up and wire up a button there so a Hermit that presses the button gets a firework right next to them.

I think you'd get more customers with an installation service, since the hermits are way more likely to go "oh, i can order cub to put some fireworks somewhere for me" than "oh, i wanted to do something with fireworks"

I think it'd be great to connect the shop and the factory to the mail system, mass orders sent straight to the factory and home delivery for special orders

Could always make a "build-a-firework" shop kind of like the "build-a-bear" shop. They choose color, effects and such and get to see a cool animation while it crafts.

Cub I think you should really up the prices here. This premium product! I think even up to 2 diamonds per stack would be more than fair! Keep in mind the inflation comes with the new easier to find diamond mechanics as well!

it would be really cool if you built a nice room with catwalks for the firework factory and give factory tours. it's a worthy sight to behold. hermits could get "tickets to the factory tour" when they make a purchase of a premium firework setup for their base. then have a little fireworks display at the end of the tour.

Idea: put pressure plates outside shopping district portal and connect it to a flight 3 rocket dispenser at your shop so that every time a hermit comes through portal it fires off (in addition to the 1/9 chance of fireworks from your light detector. Other hermits could connect to pressure plates if they wanted to trigger something from their shops too (I think Bdubs should have a bamboo display that grows as a show like your fireworks, and then cuts itself down, for instance) Love what you are doing, so creative!

I have a recommendation for your firework timers: instead of using a daylight sensors, you should use a villager with a bed and pressure plate. A rising and falling edge detector can determine whether it is sunrise or sunset. The advantage of these is that they are always consistent, instead of malfunctioning whenever it rains

Second rocket shop ambassador should be Grian. Bdubs will be promoting racket's beauty, and Grian... Grian will be promoting it's firepower.

Cub, you could put a shulker instead of the barrel and have an easy restock method.

I was wondering if there was a way you could increase the Hermits' perceived value of fireworks since many of them have probably not looked into all the requirements to create sophisticated fireworks in the game. One possible way that crossed my mind was to create interactive information kiosks in your store that use records like in your museum last season to explain some of these details, such as what it takes to create trails, creeper head explosions, multiple breaks, etc. Maybe even do some invisible armor stands displaying all the ingredients used to create an example of one of the more expensive types of fireworks. Letting them see and hear about what all is required to make the fireworks would help to justify any price you charge for all types. Great episode as always, Cub. Thank you!

13:45 - "The superiority of scaffolding" Well if you hadn't been stuck at the top for 5 seconds trying to ring the bell... I kind of want scaffolding to win but this may be too small of a test case to be useful. Plus, it's fast to build the pillar of scaffolding and fast to tear it down, but slow to actually climb it. I think pillaring up with dirt might actually be faster, even when you consider the tear-down time. (Plus, if you need to go laterally, scaffolding penalizes you pretty badly unless you add another block type to support it.)

I think you should make a sign advertising custom orders, to make it more clear you are selling those! You could also use invisible armour stands to make the rockets facing upwards on top of the stained glass. Epic shop and farm! B)

Cub, you have to sell your standard fireworks display machine where instead of it accepting precrafted fireworks, the machine accepts gun powder, paper, and dyes as input to craft the fireworks as needed every day for the display. Then, you should offer preloaded shulkers of supply (paper, gun powder, etc.) like printer cartridges. To refill their fireworks display machine. Lastly offer maintenance. Either by service agreement for a set amount of time (i.e., you maintain it during the duratiom of the service contract) or per visit (i.e., they pay up everytime they require maintenance/service). I'm sure Scar will break his a lot of time. 😅

I don't know much about fireworks, but if you could shapes, you could try to get the shapes to look a little bit like Pokemon, and have a bundle called "Blasting off again!"

You could do something like "Build a Bundle" of Fireworks, or a "Rocket Bouquet" where they can pick their own configuration package? maybe something like that?

You could possibly use the Villager night detector that Doc used last season for his announcements. It would provide a little earlier detection for the night for those like BDubs who don't like it as much!

combat fireworks should probably be a sales category aswell, not just aesthetic fireworks. like, for crossbows. ...would be interesting to fight the warden in the city aswell with fireworks.

Instead of item frames for the firework display on the shop, you could use the armor stands to hold them standing, pointing up.

You could also sell bazooka shulkers filled with high damage fireworks with a loaded multishot crossbow inside them ^^ I believe the more stars you add the more damage they deal. Also I don't think a crossbow permit exists so you should be fine selling some as a gimmick at your shop

Cub taking fireworks sales to new explosive sales and colorful heights!

Unfortunately, Cub's rockets are a luxury item, and most hermits are struggling to finish building their bases. Few, if any, have an income, yet. Of course, Cub and Doc completed the game last week lol.

Fireworks are totally underused. I think you should do a diamond per 8 maybe 16 fireworks for the non-premiums. 64 firework rockets last a very long time.

Your shop is awesome! I love that you have so many rocket options, the free sample, and especially the rockets that go off when you open the premium barrels. 🎆🎇

Cub you need to sell your fireworks in a bundle to save on shulkers, 1 diamond block for a mix bag, like trail mix, also, please get into multi shot crossbows, you can really show of your fireworks with it.

I think you could definitely get more than what you're charging. Especially since diamonds are easier to come by and you're putting actual diamonds in some.

For the rocket exploding when you reach the sales goal, you should make the big statue of a rocket an actual flying machine with tnt inside it and when you reach the sales goal it flies up and explodes

that will be such a good luxury items for rich hermits to flex

Hey Cub - what if you used your fireworks for an elytra course? Since you can only sell exploding fireworks, contestants in the elytra course would need to be a bit more careful about spamming rockets to go faster.

you could also advertise your rockets by flying into conversations using the rockets themselves xD it would leave an impact, I'm sure!
