When i built the storage room, i modeled it after the Deep Dark area. For some reason i was remembering the skulk as purple, but it is not purple. Stuff happens. *rip*

You could place your seats facing towards the centre from each end, then in the middle have a bench seat running parallel to the wall. Edit: I forgot to mention, that your interior does look great as is.

Honestly. I was making my basement and used water logged stairs to outline the path. I wanted it to continue on the wall so the water came from somewhere but nope. Forgot stairs couldn’t do that and only thing that could was vertical slabs.

Love the interior. Glad the hermits are coming back from trips. You and Keralis always make me smile! I also love your story telling. I swear each hermit is like a complete movie production team- they write the story, they act in it, they do amazing camera work, then edit it adding in all the effects. Standing ovation! Really, who needs Hollywood!

saving me in the middle of exam stress! your episodes always make me smile, and now I have a proper reason to take a break and let my brain unwind until I can properly study again :) something I noticed recently is that after watching a lot of your hermitcraft episodes, I seem to have subconsciously adapted some of the things you tend to say in your episodes into my own vocabulary? caught myself saying "son of a biscuit" more than once- fun side effect of watching your videos :]

Although strange to us modern small-folk, in Giant culture farting was considered the highest form of respect to meeting strangers on a train. As it was with nose-picking and butt-scratchin' for conducting business deals, including buying tickets and paying fares. Ask any historian, they'll tell you.

Every Hermit has their own way of doing videos, and what they show. Some do time lapse a lot for example. I think the chilling cam account with you building away is one of my favorites. It's cool to see you thinking things through and designing on the fly.

I'd suggest lining the whole wall with space for luggage. Would bring continuity into the wagon and the single space just seems weird to me, especially since I haven't ever seen it done that way. Also taking away every second spacer would realistically make it easier to store luggage in there.

Agreed! The interior is beautiful, but the broken up luggage racks stand out to me as not being enough for the passengers.

Love the train car, it is looking awesome. I love your idea of building it up to tear it down. A suggestion, for your entrance below your giant hole, you cold have some rocks that have fallen from above rip a hole in the side of the train to make the entrance, also have some moss and vines grow up or a tree sprout, fed by the sunlight that comes in. That would draw attention to your hole, have a little green highlighted by the sunlight, maybe work into the story of how they found the giants train? Anyway, love your ideas this season, get better soon.

Like the golem drop but I keep thinking if you put a bit of lava to fall through at the top they fall on fire which would look cool. love the giant scale idea you can have loads of fun with it... giant tools, skeletons! I might build something similar, great idea

It was a dream of mine as a kid to build a ginormous scale room for giants, I remember being in a restaurant room with cool walls and imagining building that room at a giant scale and detailing the wallpaper and table and chairs. This was absolute years ago and kid me would never have had the stamina to actually do that (even in creative, the only gamemode i played back then). This is honestly so cool to see, this is exactly what kid me dreamed

The entrance to the storeroom reminds me of the deep dark sphinx statue but also a recognized from Tron, a bit. I love the train car. The interior elements are really helping sell the scale.

idk if you thought about it, or if you want something like that, but maybe there could be some old "garbage" lying in the cave, (forgotten, scattered) gigantic bucket with a hole or a wheel from a cart, some piece of railroad track or something. ordinary things, already overgrown, etc. wouldn't it be cool?

Just a thought for the train car, with it eventually being turned into a village/market, what if you added glow stones and/or sea lanterns to the end caps of the seats and luggage racks, or maybe embedded into the floor/ceiling. The way I’m picturing it is that it will keep the areas lit for mobs but also doubles for safety lights in a train car and work like street lamps for the little people that have taken over. Coming along great & loving the designs. See you in the next one. Caio 4 Now.

About where the seats are turned towards, I took an old steam engine train once (the train itself was a tourist attraction) and it had an interesting feature. The back of the seats could move in a way that you could change the seat facing. It was interesting, because if you were travelling in a group of 4, you could be turned towards each other, making it better to talk, if not, you could have the seats turned to the front, no matter witch direction the train is going.

I love how the benches/chairs turned out and the tables with the wicker baskets. It was good to see how you did those trap doors because I’ve struggled with trap doors in past builds and it was nice to see how did them. That was helpful. Thanks for your fun playful humor. I needed an XB laugh today.

I really like the camera angles around the 9 minute mark, where our viewpoint is still and we can see you walking around! It would be especially cool to get some shots of the train car from a camera angle at the height/perpective of the giants who would have used it!

You seem to have some plans with the big hole at the top of your cave possibly connecting to the entrance of the train car. Have you thought of the pain of terra-forming the hole a little bit to line the center up with the "straight-across" entrance/exit towards your storage area?

I'd say that the place under where the hole is would be the place with the most wear, because of the rain falling in and the sun causing the discolouration of the wood and paint.

the one train i have been on had the seats fold to either face front or back. because they could be adjusted to face forward depending on the direction the train was going. side benefit to have a larger group face each other if they wanted.

the baskets under the tables would be perfect for little farms for the villagers living in there to use for crops with a hole in the roof to allow the god rays to beam in :D or makeshift lighting rigs with ramshackle redstone set ups

14:40 Hmmm... IDK, Road a train when I was in Germany (to and from Wine-Fest 2010 ish), and I do seem to remember there was a gap between the seat and the back support. It does look fine having that gap there xB.

I had to come edit my comment. Mumbo keeps checking his slime farm for slime balls and there’s never any. It’d be funny to put some in there to see his reaction. I don’t think he’s gotten any. Idea for worn areas where people have been walking in the car. Use a slight gradient from the outside edges of the path to the center of stripped dark oak, stripped spruce (I totally didn’t have a brain fart just now and have to look up spruce.) and then stripped oak. It’s be like the lines and varnish have been worn down and the stripped oak is close in color to the path blocks. The car looks AMAZING on the inside. I love how you did the tables. I wouldn’t have thought to do them that way and they look awesome.

Not sure what all your plans are for deteriorating the inside of the train car, but I think it might look good if you dropped some of the andesite slaps in some of the chair seats, to make it look like they've sunk in a bit from long-term use! Just wanted to make the suggestion, but I'm sure whatever you do will look awesome (it already does, and I think it's only gonna get better!) Great episode xB, love ya!

maybe consider going 2-high with the wool for the upholstered seats. it would look more fluffy :-) otherwise it looks really good!

I know you keep saying how you don't know how the train car got down there, but maybe just maybe there was a sink hole that opened up and it fell down. To go along with that add some broken, plant covers traces of train tracks up top.

Personally when it comes to glazed terracotta, I'd love tiles of it instead, like carpet. Though maybe a slab would be more interesting because the sides would be all weird.

I had to pause the video at one point and when I got back to it, the paused pic on my screen was of you running towards a chair and I could really see the perspective and believe you were a tiny guy in a giants domain. watching this vid of you making the interior of the car really reminded me of the game Final Fantasy Legend 2 where you stop through the world of giants. It's got me thinking about taking more inspiration from other games when building in my worlds.
