This video, in particular, highlights my favourite thing about watching Hermitcraft, particularly Zedaph. It's not always about most efficient, or compact, or productive... it's about creating your own fun! Playing the game, having laughs... it's refreshing. Thank you for another wonderful video :)

The snow golem bit made me realize Mojang could just retexture the pointed dripstone to ice stalactites and make an ice grotto cave biome that you could find in or under cold biomes

Zedvancement: Door to Door businessman: trade a souvenir with every hermit. Trade for anything they give in return. For example, 12 bamboo for iskall or redstone torch for jumbo jumbo!

Heres a Zedvancement idea: Ocean to Ocean. Travel from the ocean west of spawn to the one on the east of spawn using only the riptide trdient without touching solid ground or elytra. Be it rivers, rain or splashing in pre-prepared puddles.

I love how easy it is to upgrade from phantom to real trophy! And I would absolutely dangle a ravager if I could...

Zedvancement: Neighbour Raider Once Mumbo builds his mega vault you should try break in (no tools, no armour, and if you die you must retry in the following episode)

Zedvancement ideas: HCBBS; Hermit Craft Big Base Secrets: (Title is a throwback, obviously) Make secret bases? Redstone puzzle rooms? Connecting tunnels? in everyone's big bases. And I do mean EVERYONE. THEY CAN'T KNOW until you finish their room/space/thing, or you have to start again somewhere else. You also can't tell them or us until either they find it or a month has passed. Dare Master: Get dared in Hermit Dares by everyone who signs up! Or Dare everyone who signs up at least once, your choice. Socialite: !Without telling the hermits!, record a session as organically as possible with every single hermit within a week. Then post a video with all of them at the end of the week, only revealing that you were doing a challenge at the end! You can use other challenges/zedvancements to rope hermits into recording sessions by asking for help on them but you can't tell them that you need a clip with them for this one and you can't use a fake excuse nor have more than three appear to help with more than one zedvancement during the week. The clip needs to be over 30 seconds for each hermit and must be more than a quick "hello", it should be an actual interaction that lasted ... let's say over two minutes before the cutting room. The Sweetest Embrace: Die to every hostile mob and every terrain related way to pass on that you can. Maybe even every Hermit if you want, but spread it out if you go for the socialite idea. Tech-Sensei: Teach someone redstone successfully. You'll need to test them after two weeks. Colonizer: Build a structure in every biome. A little "Zedaph was here" sign sort of. Instigator: Start a prank war. Try to start one before Grian does. Investor: Give mumbo 100 stacks of diamonds for his vault. Dungeon Master: Play or run d&d with some hermits using minecraft as the map. Found and Conquered: Bdubs is making fun games/challenges to find and play. Beat one before anyone else & appear in his vid. Nothing to See Here/Imposter Syndrome: Trade places with a Hermit near completely. Record how they record, use their skin, build at their base, try to match the tone of their video, post it on their channel even! You can leave the editing to them but otherwise have to act like them, and they have to act like you. (Could call it Bait and Switch too I suppose.) Basically do what Stress did with the mumbo skin but more. Make sure to interact with three hermits as if you were the hermit you were impersonating. You have committed crimes against Hermitcraft and her people: Blatantly take something from every hermit, right in front of their eyes, and don't give it back. Refuse to pay them for it or barter for it at all. Garden of Eden: Build a garden with every type of plant availbe in minecraft from trees to cacti to flowers to vines. Mushrooms optional. It must pass a Gem, Scar, and one other Hermit inspection. You Raise Me Up: this is a difficult one, but, build a base somewhere that has a button that says 'do not press'. When pressed this button makes the entire base raise itself intact to build height. You don't need to use immovable blocks obviously but it must be a multi room base and a portion of attached land and it must be intact when it reaches the top. Also, you can't trigger it to check. Leave it to scare a nosy hermit or two. Glutton for PUNishment: you may need to contact LDShadowLady for help, but go an episode only speaking in puns. Other hermits must bear witness to your wit. Wild Ride: make a rollercoaster/flying machine/ entertaining ride of some kind. You have to wow at least three hermits with it once completed. You can charge for it, too. Hermitcraft's got Talent/Hermitfamily Feud/???/Your Hermit Host: make a gameshow or talentshow! You can make your own or do an homage to one on TV. Hand Over the Controls/Backseat Driving: Let other hermits be Zedaph for an episode. They have to attempt to be you, somewhat, but while you may get to narrate, you have no idea what they're doing until you watch the recording. They also have to switch to the next hermit every... Hour? Two hours? They aren't allowed to communicate in or out of the game besides ONE sign per hermit. Two rotations of about 5 hermits I think would be ideal? Selectively Blind: either by installing mod or by playing pretend, ignore the existence of a hermit. You can't see them, anything they do to you is just not happening or odd. Possibly make them invisible to you with a mod. Interact around them for an episode. At least ten minutes of post-edited content? Headhunter: get all hermit heads without permission. Make it up to any of them after you get all the heads of course. The Perfect Assistant: help another hermit for an entirety of one of their episodes. You must be by them from start to finish. (This could be a service you sell, to make it lucrative). You have to be in every scene used in the video even if not on screen. They can't record without you being nearby. You must help them with whatever they need. (Fun ideas for personas to take on include competent butler (yes, master Bruce), overworked pa/secretary (Mr. Stark, your 3:00 is here), Igor/ evil minion (yesssss master), servile vassal (my lord/my lady), or stagehand (not acknowledged as there at all, ignored the whole video).

I think what’s funny about the leather armour is that a dubs actually beat him to having the best-worst armour this season. In fact he has 3 sets!

Hello friends, and welcome once again to the adventures of Zedaph in his quest for unorthodox advancements! This episode is jam-packed, not with jam, but with segments of many Zedvancements! Dangles, dives, duels, and death--we've got the scoop! The base has been expanded in several directions, with more to come. Several danglers are added to the mob-mobile, and another stunt dog has made the ultimate sacrifice. RIP Jeremy the 432nd. Impulse's legendary Dwarven smithing produces the best leather armor money can buy, and a duel is called immediately to test it out. Is leather successful against diamond? How about full netherite? I won't spoil it for you, but it's a fun hexagonal battle! ...I keep seeing the shadows of Hermits. But Zed's shadow is wearing safety glasses and a lab coat... Scar is wearing some type of Mayor outfit. Cub is an Egyptian pharaoh. All of whom are here, but not here, constructing things that are also incorporeal, but visible to me. I may need to revert the changes to my messaging system. If the messenger is out there, I need their help.

"Okay! Today on Zedaph's Wild Kingdom, we're teaching wolves how to fly..." You've put a lot of trust in those berry bushes with all those villagers hanging out so tasty and vulnerable right there.

Xisuma might be giving you the deepslate emerald ore soon, he found one on his last stream and was reminded you probably need it!

Technically, Impulse's half octagon is a hexagon, as if you count it has 6 sides. Even if you somehow counted 4 sides, they clearly aren't equal length, so it wouldn't be a square.

Because the trophies are retexured carved pumpkins (I think?), you could put Curse of Binding on the golden ones to make them shiny!

Genuinely tempted to live my Minecraft life with the "worst" tools and armour now.

For the diorama of the "I try I spy" Zedvancement, It could be funny to have a block retract in one of the corners of that section and an armour stand of you with a telescope looking at the trophy pops up.

Hey, Zed. What about making a new collection of mob (only) heads? Similar to the Hole of All, but quite different. It could be like a treasury, but instead of having ores, filling it with mob heads. Would 'A Head Start' be a cool name? Anyway, hope you like the idea!

Zedvancement idea: When 1.19 arrives and the world border is extended to a considerable distance in the server, go to it without *anything.* Just the good old walking; no gear, no bed, no food, no nothing. Just walk (and possibly swim) to the world border without anything at all. Of course, it starts at the spawn area. (You could start at 0,0 though) I would call this Zedvancement, "A Zedmazing Journey". What do you think though? Cause I'm sure the name isn't intimidating enough.

Zedvancement Idea: The Longest Recipe Book. Load your inventory with the best assortment of blocks and materials to make the most number of pages possible in the recipe book at a crafting table.

Zedaph is rapidly becoming my favourite hermit, I love his attitude to just doing things differently in a fun way, the pacing of the videos and how he walks you through his thought process, the great editing and humour... Its all there

I loved the little “you’ve got impulse” message. I think it was great and you should see if you can get a few other hermits to do the same thing or something similar

Zed you really should replace the lantern on the fence to a carpet and put the lantern under the fence so rain doesn’t kill the snow golem

I think Zedaph is the most charming hermit, I love how he makes us see quite unusual but surprisingly fun side of Minecraft. like how did he come up with out-of-the-box ideas every season? not to mention his editing skill & style. seriously he makes me so giddy everytime he uploads

Zedaph, there's a bit of a problem with your dangling: I don't think that snow golem is very well protected from the rain.

Make a set of the absolute best worse gear: a netherite set that is worn down to breaking point of 0 durability (or one if it actually breaks on 0)

For the Netherite beacon, you could open a scrap shop where hermits can trade netherite scrap for random/miscellaneous blocks or items?

Zedvancement idea: get the most greedy villager - one that wants the highest amount of emeralds for a trade.

Genuinely zed has been my favourite hermet to watch this season. Never know whats happening next, plus is very interesting tasks!

hey bro keep up the good work and i want to tell a zedvancment llike collect all different types of villagers with different skins as in each diff biomes they spawn with diff skin and i think it will look pretty good also its a challenge bcoz in few biomes villages dont spwan naturally like in jungle and mesa so pls try if you like this idea

For death message animation: Arrow flying from the side , background detracting and showing sign with as much message as can fit. Either Arrow misses the armor stand or new armor stand is assembled below and pops up at the end. Similar with interdiemensional. Only netherrack, grass, endstone (in Arrow flight direction) as background shown instead of the sign.

I really feel like the Zedvancements would make a great little mod pack, unlock crafting recipes for the trophies upon completion or something along those lines :)

I've just realized, with what Impulse said that in your base he never know which nametag is you and which is an armor stand - you could use that to your advantage when spying on hermits! An armor stand named Zedaph would totally trick them into thinking they know where you are

I really appreciate the subtitles, sometimes my hearing gets really sensitive and I prefer to watch with no volume. good fun episode as always!

I think the Best Worst Armor is best utilized with a “fire and forget” playstyle; get one hit in, let the fire do the DoT, and really only attack to either re-apply burn or to use the insane knockback to distance yourself. Kind of like Acrid in Risk of Rain 2, or Pyro in Team Fortress 2.

I just want to say thank you for the great captions and for the hard work that goes into them; my brain is a bit funky and I can have trouble focusing on and understanding spoken words, and the captions that are actually put in as opposed to just auto-made are so much better and much easier to understand what is going on. Thank you so much for the great content and captions, and keep up the great work!

I have an amazing zed challenge for ya! It's called Take it to the Mattresses. It is the ultimate of ultimate Zedvancement, you Zed must kill every type of mob, as well as every hermit at least once (as long as they're willing to play). Preferably standing on a bed whenever possible. This phrase comes from a movie/book called The Godfather, and I think would be quite fitting and super challenging for you. Think about how crazy fun and scary it would be fighting a ravager standing on beds. Or trying to do kill the end dragon standing on a bed. (You can place beds in the end and nether, as long as you don't click on them they won't explode.) I really hope you do this, I think it would be super fun.

If you find the eggs from the dangling chicken annoying, you can find a baby zombie on a chicken, kill the zombie, then use that chicken since it won't lay eggs anymore. It's a weird feature but will come in handy.

Zed you're very entertaining. Love the interactions with the other hermits. And I love your building style. Wondering if you forgot that you have the striders in the nether you could hang one of them upside down. Have you considered collecting all the trees in Minecraft and redesigning them as decoration around your base.

The dog splatting at the bottom of the hole made me laugh way more than socially acceptable. The silence after it happened took me out.

I think a real fun Zedvancement would be: "Tag! No Tagbacks!" similar to the I spy one, goal: sneak up and tag all Hermits and get away without getting hit, you must punch them to tag, but the hermits can tag back in any way they deem fit, ie bows, snowballs, swords, etc. The hermits get to try and tag you back, until you get back to your base, no tagging may be done in your base. If you get tagged back, the attempt is a failure, if you get spotted before you tag them, you fail.

Shenzi: Look at you guys! No wonder we're dangling at the bottom of the food chain! Banzai: Man, I hate danglin'!

When Zed was doing the dinnerbone trick around 18min, I thought maybe he might misclick one of the name tags and turn us upside down. Ah well, plenty more chances for that to happen. Also 22:18, more like derpstone with that face.

Zedvancement idea: Indecisive inhabitation - Build a house across 3+ biomes

trophy idea: get every type of villager in a villager hall, but all zombified (preferably with punny names of course) loved the episode as usual zedaph!

For the "I try I spy" zedvancement I believe there should be 24 other hermits in total that participate in this season. I might have missed someone that has decided to take a break or if this was mentioned in a previous episode, but it was just something that stood out to me.

For the display for the inter-die-mensional, I wonder if you could shoot an arrow through colored banners that represent the portals? I think that would look cool if you ever wanted to try it :)

Hey Zedaph! Such a great Video, your absolutely killing it this season!! If you don't mind, I have an idea for a Zedvancement. You see, there are 2700 types of tropical fish, When tropical fish spawn in the wild, 90% of the time they appear as one of the 22 "common types", and the other 10% of the time their patterns, size, and colors are completely random, drawn from any of 2 shapes, 6 patterns, 15 base colors, and 15 pattern colors of the fish. These result in 2,700 naturally-occurring combinations (According to the Minecraft Wiki anyway) So, maybe your challenge could be finding two of the same randomly colored fish? It might take a while though, but it would be a cool Zedvancement!

I really enjoy that u cooperate with other hermits while doing these Zedvancments. I would have an idea for one together with Grian: Built an elytra pakour together, but wait for a thunderstorm and complete the course with only a trident with riptide 3 equipped. I call it: Flying on a broom

Zedaph, I've been watching your Hermitcraft episodes for about two years now, and I can't recall a single time when I wouldn't laugh in the first minute. You are one of the few youtubers, I actually manualy check for new content every few days, just in case I miss a notification. Thanks for all your work.

You could do a creazy thing for the interDIEmentional diorama with an automatic lit netherportal and pistons pushing the Trophy through.

Zedaph, I love your episodes! The quirkiness, your editing style, and the brilliant ideas backed by the lovely community of yours. I am always glad to watch a zedaph episode. Especially if it starts with your intro, immediately followed by: "welcome to another - duck! - Oh goodness, oh no! Oh sheep as well!" Immediately putting a big smile on my face!

a possible zedvancement: trying to get all the different death messages? or dying to every hostile/passive until triggered mob? maybe calling it the kill-all-ble?

for the pit collection sorter, I'd use some ice as decoration, so that the one tiny bit of block-edge that the items land on / hit, they can more easily slide off and there's less risk of a lag-spike causing them to lose momentum and despawn (while also stacking with anything else that drops, meaning you could lose multiple stacks of items, as the stack's timer get's refreshed with each new item being added)

It did show that if you can't get the good stuff quickly that even well enchanted leather armor is actually a viable alternative in the early game. So kudos to you Zed for that.

I'm so glad that I found your channel! I love all of the Zedvancements. I have an idea for one, but it is similar to the picture taking one. Basically you have to shoot every Hermit with a firework crossbow whilst flying in the air? I don't know, I think it could be fun :)

A cool Zedvancement would be to try to get the most extreme Y coordinates, Im talking falling into the void with an inventory full of totems of undying to see how far into the negatives you can get. Could do the same with going up into the sky with as many rockets as possible

Zedvancement suggestion: Underwarper! - move 1000 blocks underwater at the fastest possible speed!

Those villager stalls look so to get set up with villagers, but look so great too! Makes me want to change my entire system around.
