it looks good but, i can't stand that he didn't make the outer glazed terracotta ring symmetric. If you look on the left when he shows it, it has a single block that doesn't make a full shape. It will mess with my head as long as he shows it in the future video's :')

16:20 you need to put a layer of wool between the floor layers (underneath the dirt) so that the allays dont link to same noteblock when it plays because that will mess up with them and they wont deliver it where it should be

omg dude, why didnt I see this comment before i built my 6 level wheat silo. I am having that exact problem and was wondering if a layer of wool between layers would help. Time for a retrofit. edit: Turns out you dont need a whole layer of wool. Just replace the dirt and crops around the base of the noteblock with wool and it does the trick!

Hey Impulse, the bees need to have polen so they can affect the growth of the crops, so you do need to add flowers to the farm. Tango did a similar farm at the start of the season, so maybe he can explain better how it works

For the Mud Farm, you could put Unbreaking and Mending on the shovel still, and then if you really wanted to have a dispenser shoot an XP bottle at you every now and then. It would let you AFK for a very long time.

Probably be much more convenient and cheaper for it to just spit out another iron shovel after a set amount of time equal to the durability of the iron shovel. Saves trading for xp bottles and enchanting. Also it can be afk’d for much longer

I’m always somewhat worried when someone goes to grians base due to the creeper rail cannon which I think is still on even if doc is on holiday since he mentioned a setting where it is fully automatic just a little slow

Its my first time seeing Allays utilized and they are so cute, especially with the bees and the farmer. I think it would look really cool to have a big glass dome, which would decrease efficiency but look a little less squished and still as busy. speaking of blues and greens, a fun fact that sorta backs you up- in Japanese the word for “blue” came before “green”, so a lot of traditionally green things are called blue, despite now having a word for green. (like instead of green apples, theyre “blue” apples) its a common way for the words for colors to develop!

In most ancient cultures there were no word just for blue. For most shades of blue they used to use the same word as for green, but in ancient Greek the see has been described as a dark wine colour. The first know civilisation to have a word just for blue were the Egyptians. Also, many names for colours happened to be created at the same time the civilisations managed to produce pigments of that colour (not a rule, but a common thing).

You guys are all talking about the common order in which languages make words for colors. Almost universally, languages make words for light and dark first, and then red, then yellow or green, and on and on to less important colors. And this order makes perfect sense for survival. If it makes you feel any better, Gabby 1 is based off a Blue & Gold Macaw, so named because it's got blue and yellow feathers, Gabby 2 is of course based of a Hyacinth Macaw, deep blue in colour and probably a bit closer to purple in some cases. Minecraft also seems to have a lot more green in it's cyan than normal, I generally picture cyan as more of a sky blue Dwarves and mud go well together, not really that familiar with Tolkien's lore, but in Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle the main dwarven character has a nice little moment explaining the importance of a little mud idol he's creating, so have fun with mud, Tolkien wasn't the only one to write about dwarves, create your own lore.

I really like how the storage room looks like as it really helps spread the colour across the room, using a nice mix of colours that tie well with one another. It would be interesting to see how mud block varieties can be used for builds or perhaps redstone as well.

A cool idea for the farm using allays would be to have only one noteblock outside of the farm and 1 block gap somewhere that only the allay can fit, this way the collection system isnt inside the farm

Would that tinted glass stuff prevent them from trying to path to you? Pretty cool looking farm. Just a random guess but I'm wondering when the last time you cleaned the dust from your computer? A CPU fan and or heat-sink full of dust will slow a computer. Or it might just be the heatwave many nations are going through preventing hot air from escaping the system.

while i agree that cyan is a shade of blue and i was happy with the funny loophole, i do believe you made the right choice to bring in the actual blue parrot. All the quests around it seemed to be around rare mobs, so the king probably intended for it to be that specific. especially considering that one of the quests involved gifting someone a white fox.

the bee's need flowers to make the wheat grow. when a bee flies back with pollen then can "drop" some pollen on the plants and make them grow :)

I love the floor in the storage room! The glazed terracotta ties everything together nicely. The sculk veins on the froglights however remind me of cow print. (Don't get me wrong, I love cows!) Just thought I'd share! 😊

The mud block is pretty rad, I like the storage room. I might make a mud farm by building a smart piston into it. My mud/clay farm works by having a lit repeater pointed at an empty space with the water bottle dispenser on the other side and an observer looking at it that powers a piston pointed at that space. Placing a dirt block powers the dispenser, firing it to make mud, and the observer sees the dispenser fire and pulses the piston, which shoves the mud off into a feed tape. You could feed a cube maker, and then harvest the mud in one go.

This season Impulse has fallen in love with glazed terracotta and I'm enjoying it immensely. It's fun just seeing him play with the blocks! I cant stop seeing turquise/tan/cow hide in the storage room floor lol. The sculk veins on the lanterns at a glance look like cowhide, and paired with the terracotta border it makes it feel western in a way.

the brown and cyan in the storage room lowkey has root cellar vibes, and i think that thats a nice little contrast to the rest of your dwarven kingdom! same underground theme, but its nice that its not all deepslate!

Looking at this new allay wheat farm brings me back to before hoppers we’re added and when pistons were new and using the water flow wheat farm and how laggy it would be when you harvested it. Man we have come so far in 10 years.

Since you already have a central clock attached, you should add flowers in different positions on the perimeter, with doors and redstone torches linked to the clock signal. That way, the bees will follow different flight paths as time progresses, fertilizing more area of the farm than just straight lines between their hives and the nearest flowers.

Loving the colour palette in your storage room! Gives kind of Moroccan-y mosaic vibes, I think, which I suppose isn't especially traditionally dwarven but I could totally see dwarves get into mosaic for more colourful decoration, so who knows?

Hey Impulse, the Bees need to pollinate over the wheat. Make sure to add the flowers in a place from where they would have to travel to the hive, otherwise they aren't doing anything. Tango made a farm with this mechanic, for reference. Great video!

I really like it when people use glazed terracotta in their builds! I actually quite like the patterns and love to use it in my builds as often as possible
