@@tastethedifferencecheese I've heard that before but it's only useful if you say it right Cause someone could get mixed up and say floor (or hell, use the phrase "with all their might" to the ceiling) More useful, I find, is comparing the "mite" in "stalagmite" to a giant heavy bug (mite) or something that can't climb on the ceiling but crawls around on the floor

I just say stalactite C for ceiling… and Stalagmite G for ground…

That is way better than the way I learned. Stalactites hold tight to the ceiling and stalagmites might reach the ceiling.
