@@PotatoSofi I'm terrible at building things that look good so all my modded playthroughs end up with me in a giant main hall with a storage terminal as the only thing in it.

I was reminded of modded minecraft when he mentioned each of the farms having three lines connected to them(input, output, and redstone)

The problem is with how long that takes. Would potentially be better to do 250 or at most 500. We run a hermit craft challenges similar thing on the server I am a part of (Not A Promotion. Not even gonna say what server it is so don’t ask) and we have noticed if a challenge is too crazy people just don’t do it. You alway have to balance a challenge around how long it takes. Always

@@jamesmcclelland9611 nah, you can eat chorus fruits no matter how hungry you are, and covering space around you in water or hay blocks would trivialise the process

It was funny when Grian did a world tour and was like "I'm not sure who built what", and after a short fly around the base immediately recognized Etho's control room by the redstone hanging out the mountain and his unique interior and then praised Iskalls exterior biome transformation.

You know etho actually can make exterior, he is just so strict with himself and lazy to do it. Or at least the few time he actually made exterior they are all super beautiful. That and he learnt from the master, beef and bdubds.

@@ionmeth2031 I agree that Etho's done some fantastic exterior work, but it's hit or miss, and more often than not, miss. It's just something he struggles with in the game (at least compared to his other skills). It probably doesn't help that his main base in his let's play world is underground; he spent a lot of time improving interior design, but didn't work on exteriors.

MC horse speed in general, that would be so funny, when people ask what on earth are 53-stick horses or 4-stick horses then I can say I was there when the great horse-speed measuring systems were invented by Bdubs and Etho :D

It’s all about the slow roll. Working on thing as you find inspiration and not forcing it really allows any creator to up their game, and Etho is a master at this

Functional and visible pipes are great. Anything you can see working makes it better. Although some of the sounds could be more pleasing to listen to, like piston spam.

@@TMinusRecords i mean thats not super super true for all things. for instance, i can read and write code (im a software engineer) but sometimes it will take time to figure out what code is doing. i cant (and most people cant) just know whats going on by looking at it. some thinking is required. BUT we know etho is a wizard so it makes sense

There's probably not enough space for it, but I'd love the blue shiny rock bonfire idea. Put a diamond in the item frame so it's a "diamond farm" and Iskall thinks it's like the sea lantern lever he used to have and will just throw diamonds into the pipes for looks. Then when Iskall pulls the lever, block swappers pop out a block of soul sand behind him, noteblocks or a bell go off to draw his attention to it, the soul sand gets lit and a diamond drops from the ceiling.

His current "super-donkey" is easily already better that any horse I've ever had in any of my survival worlds.

It's probably theoretically possible, but would take literally millions of tries to get. Just because it says the max stats are a certain level doesn't mean they're attainable through normal methods, you'd probably need to pull a Dream to get one

@@Flash4ML i believe on bedrock it should be fairly easy considering there was (hopefully still is) a glitch were if you throw speed potions on horses and then breed them they will use the boosted speed as their base speed for the offspring, with the potential for a horse that goes like 100m/sec and way faster than the world will load. I need to test it to be sure its still a thing.

@@jasonreed7522 wanna know something tragic? I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but donkeys do not get stat increases when breeding on Bedrock. I was working it out, breeding as many as I could, and counting generations. The speed potion bug, though? defo works. I have a very fast donkey with a pathetic jump that I intend to breed with a high jumping horse. It's gonna take a while.

Same! I used to watch keralis’ building tutorials years ago without knowing what hermitcraft was or that he was involved. Then, when I tried to understand red stone I stumbled across Mumbo. Then, I watched one of his hermitcraft videos and got hooked on the content. I decided to go watch the other hermits, (mumbo rarely interacted much with other hermits) to see things they were doing. Sometimes people would show up in war rooms that I was totally not familiar with. I just decided to watch everyone. I’m so glad I did. There are so many hermits that are talented, different, and creating amazing builds that do not have the subscription levels as mumbo or grian. I encourage everyone to check them out. The only thing wrong with Etho videos is that there’s not more etho videos.

Heya! Etho's my favourite hermit too. Like you said, he's just got such a chill vibe, stuff like dying over and over doesn't bother him, like he just gets over stuff and he's not salty at all. He's super kind. And that's like my favourite thing in a human being. Oh, and also he's a colorful explosion of ideas with some mad genius thrown in. And Ehto's about the only one whose comment section isn't just 1000s times the same meme that was only slightly funny to begin with.

I discovered Hermitcraft through Grian when he joined in Season Six. Been watching a bunch of Hermits since.

I’ve been watching etho since episode 100 on his let’s play series and he is such a unique and fun youtuber that even after all these years he’s the only minecraft youtuber that consistently has me come back to his channel and stay interested, even though I don’t play minecraft anymore I can’t help but love his content

For some reason i interpreted "Kill switch" as "selfdestruc"t and not as "turn everything off". Also he definitely needs a "Wrong Lever Kronk" lever.

@@jasonreed7522 oh I completely meant a switch that dropped lava on the switcher and not a "turn everything off" switch... But you're right that probably makes more sense.

@@jakewantstoplay1897 IRL a Killswitch will unpower all the machinery in a given room, its a safety thing so you can stop someone from being horribly maimed/killed by a saw, press, or you know anything potentially dangerous in a machine shop or industrial environment. It doesn't really apply to Minecraft, especially since Hermitcraft isn't hardcore but it could be useful anyway, and would probably involve a lot of work since he would need to use pistons to force open all the other switch lines.

@@jasonreed7522 ha it's okay Jason. I've worked in many places with machinery and places where traditional kill switches are required. They're usually big red buttons on the sides of machines and at the entrances and exits to plant rooms or machine rooms. But thanks for the explanation anyway. In this regard I meant kill the player rather than cut off all the farms.

But that requires them to willingly supply the enderpearl, I'm sure he could do it as an obsure payment for something, similar to how doc made him eat spider eyes (to be fair etho made doc eat them last season)
