I don't often comment but I feel like showing my appreciation for the editing of this video, especially with the brightness getting increased whenever Etho's got the blindness effect. It's a very nice touch that I really appreciate.

For those who weren't there, imagine watching Etho try and fail to get out of a pit for 35 minutes in real time. Just a half hour of watching him crouch under that ledge waiting for ravagers to waunder away, half way through he accidently lured another over so there were two ravagers trying to nibble his bits being jostled around by pistons, but our man never gave up, I was proud of him.

The suit up card saved you several times, but you hit max clank every single run this phase. Not to mention the fact that most of the times you needed to be saved was due to having max clank. Its a cool card but i think it might need to sit out a phase or two to see how it goes, especially since you will be losing the resistance beacon, Wardens will 1 shot you with or without the armor.

Who needs movies when Etho's Decked Out runs exist.

I love that each run Etho does if he gets a Rusty repair kit he stops by and sees Rusty to talk to and tell him about his run so freaking funny LOL

After watching Etho run Decked Out, I finally understand why people like watching sports. This is peak sports. To me. Thanks for another great video, Etho!

Hey Etho! I noticed you're checking the duration on jump boost to determine how much longer it's got. But due to the nature of beacon effects you'll never have more than 15s of it at once. I just noticed it led to a couple misjudgements is all. Best of luck in the dungeon!

I love the change in tactics (15:34) because: Does it matter which hermit submitted the most tomes when Decked Out is closed? No, because it’s closed! But does it matter which hermit had the most fun? Yes, because it’s closed! I think you should play in the way that you enjoy.

Glad that etho is prioritizing cards over winning. There are so many cool cards in this game that are realistically quite bad, so it's comforting to know that all the work that must've gone into designing the art, programming the redstone, etc isn't going to waste and they should all hopefully get bought at least once

haven’t watched this yet BUT I know for a fact there’s a 54 minute run that made my entire day watching tango’s liverstream

One thing I really like about decked out so far is that, aside for the level three key barrel, you play the whole game without using UI. Everything fits in your hot bar and you don’t have to open your inventory at all

For anyone wondering why Etho had a blackstone block on his hotbar, it's because he sat in the pit so long Tango broke a block to punch him and he picked up one. EDIT: I encourage anyone who hasn't to watch the uneditted version of Etho's first run (Tango's POV through Twitch VoD). The full length really portrays how tense and nerve-racking this run really was, and why everyone watching was meming on Etho so hard.

A basic viewer: "Woah, you got out of that pit fast!" People who know: "Woah, you edited the pit part down so much!" On a serious note, I think you edited the whole run well to keep in the important parts and keep the pacing good.

Love the selflessness and humility Etho. Changing objectives while on top isn't a decision to scoff at. Most people would simply try to win, but to change your objective to collection to create more interest in the game (for yourself and other hermits) is commendable and why I have happily watched every video for years. Love the increased content Etho, hope you are feeling good with everything going on as well.

2:05:32 - This has to be the best Warden kill till now. Giving Etho hope that he would escape with Speed Boost, getting him close to the exit corridor, only to boop him down to the middle floor of the Black Mines. Tango will be so satisfied knowing that Etho was killed by the Warden this way.

So in the run where he was questioning the value of Suit Up, it let him survive 2 consecutive Sonic Shrieks. Though Tango is removing the Resistance Beacon from it, so that's not gonna happen again

I really appreciate Etho editing this video in a way that enhances viewer experience. All the cuts, the brightness and contrast change so that we can see better... It should have taken a lot of time to edit this hours of footage. Thank you Etho!

I would assume the flavor text on "the slab" is referring to how a large portion of the community regards you as the OG. I like the 100% card collection challenge. It allows you to make decks designed to do only one thing really well and make some insane runs. I don’t see the value in crowns if the shards are never available so an ember deck would would be fun to see. It would definitely make buying rare cards easier.

I really like the change of goals. The gap between the top and the bottom of the leaderboard is pretty large already, and as it gets to the final rounds some of the runs might bet boring if you are only competing for tomes. I think the best part of decked out is the variety of decks that people have, but most of those decks are built out of circumstance. It would be cool to see what you could put together if you really wanted to specialize

that ladder shortcut on level 3 might be a one way with how its closing every time

I believe the subtext on The Slab is more of a reference on how inspirational you were on the current generation of Minecraft players, including the hermits themselves

The wardens definitely have something against Etho now. What did you do Tango!? I feel like Suit Up works so well for Cub because he doesn't play as carefully and often takes hits, while you have bigger issues with clank.

As much as I would love to just see you win, I think buying every card will be much more fun to watch and fun for you so I personally love this new approach

Honestly, I am totally fine with your "new strategy" to collect all the cards. I think it will be super fun (plus I believe you'll win either way....!) These DO2 movies you've been putting out are super fun. Also for me this is totally the right amount of editing!

I love the new card buying strategy - hopefully the other Hermits decide to go for tomes to keep things competitive. I think some have started giving up on that, which is sad

There's also a 'hidden' benefit to Reckless Charge - since it means you're going to want to sprint for the next 8 seconds and not sneak, it kinda encourages you to make more progress in the dungeon than you would by moving cautiously! (Well, unless you backtrack to find a shrieker to set off, haha)

that one trap door that always seems to close when you go through it seems to be wired to do so. that's just quite the coincidence otherwise, ya know? so with that in mind, i think it's more valuable to be used as an exit than an entrance to that area, so maybe consider entering that room from a different way and then leaving through the ladder. food for thought

Tango really made it that much harder on everyone to slow down like 5 people, who still manage to make it out almost every run unless they got some really bad rng. XD

I think the problem with the generation of clank is all those speed buff cards you have + suit up. Running around with speed buff makes you pass many more shriekers, but cards don't come faster even if you move quicker.

21:00 That speed-sneak jump you mentioned is sprint-crouch-jumping! It’s where you hold sprint and sneak, then let go of sneak for a moment mid jump! If done right you can be sneaked as you jump and land, but get a little extra boost mid-jump. If this isn’t helpful or already known then by all means ignore the comment, but a sprint-sneak-jump strategy to move around level 3 faster might be cool to see.

We all want to see Etho win, but it's the better choice to focus on the fun.

I think there is a sensor that specifically for the ladder making it either a one time use or you can only go down it and not back up
