I can't believe that both Battle Bane _and_ an Etho-Bdubs horse course are both finished and on the server. Two projects that have been in the works for about a decade, both finished rapidly and at the same time. I honestly never thought I'd see either of these being played, but here we are! Now I'm secretly hoping that some of the Dangland classics, like that Elytra course, will make a comeback lol

We all love just watching you play, Etho! Even if its not in a "recording format" way, sometimes its nice to watch people simply play the game without necessarily having a plan for it. Keep doing you!!

I think bdubs rebuilding the horse course really says a lot. He's a really great guy and I think y'all really care about each other it's getting me emotional

*Cut back to the Enderman farm.* The camera slowly pans from the carpet floor up to Etho, methodically slicing Endermen endlessly, sweat dripping down his forehead. His sword stills for but a moment while he uses his offhand to wipe at his brow. He looks at his XP and blinks. Etho mutters to himself under his breath, _”not enough, I need more, more, more.“_ He looks up from the glowing lime green 5000 resting atop his hotbar, and steels himself as he raises his sword once more. _”I’ll be ready next time. I’ll make enough for an hour of playtime. No, 2 hours! Nay, 3 hours!“_ The camera pans away from the Enderman farm. Etho can still be heard in the distance, just a quiet whisper of an echo over the void. _“Six hours.“_

Love that Etho aims to have more polished less "rushed" episodes. But to me no matter what an Etho episode in what ever state it comes is a great episode.

Etho is hands down going down in history as one of the top 10 monecraft players of all time. If not top 5 or number 1. It'd all so subjective but etho exceeds alot of everyone's abilities. And he has a very down to earth and realistic point of view. You can just see in how he builds

I, for one, enjoy a good rambling stream-of-consciousness episode now and then. Gives good insight into the thought process behind each decision to see things occur as something is built rather than as an afterthought showing off what is already finished.

This Episode is out at the perfect time. I've been struggling to deal with my mother having Breast Cancer. This is my favorite thing to watch when I just wanna relieve stress. Thank you Etho. There's a reason you are my favorite youtuber.

Etho, I must say that this episode style is my favorite. The last couple years of minecraft youtube have raised the bar on editing and progress in Minecraft content (particularly the hundreds of hardcore RU-vidrs), but I personally love these kinds of episodes with a casual style, because you get to see the real side of the creator. I get slightly irritated with the amount of over editing in a lot of minecraft videos (never yours), because you don't really get to know the creator, just a bunch of fast clips and effects. This video as well as your channel in general was a wonderful contrast to all of it, so thank you.

I really hope the hermits get to play multiple games of this, it looks like it will be awesome!

This video has given me newfound appreciation for how much preparation and planning goes into a usual episode. But I have to say, seeing you running around and scrambling for stuff is also quite entertaining haha Great episode as always, Etho! That timer idea is so cool, I had seen the cowebs before, but staquing them like that to be able to controle time is super cool :D

I absolutely loved Battle Bane. The automatic equipping system was super smart, and fluidly allowed dead players to get back into battle fast, while the meager amount of equipment means not too much is cluttering the map or advantaging the enemy who kills them. The points-as-food works well with the little equipment too. Do you want to eat your reliable points? Like, Bdubs ATE the points which lost his team the game.. The collection timer also felt just right. The long duration gave ample opportunity for something to be there if you infiltrated a base, and forced players to defend it, making it a weird sort of temporary capture-the-flag. And the nostalgic blocky-style cobble-oak building style sent me right back to old hunger games. Bravo!

Battle Bane was a major success, Etho. Congratulations, man. You did it. You helped raise $425k. I hope wherever your local Children’s Hospital is, you can take pride in that there might be a GamersOutreach go kart with your name on it.

It worked beautifully and I was so happy for you and all the Hermits who got to enjoy it. I know how much time and effort you put into this and it all paid off. Every once in a while I see Etho do redstone and think back to how much more complex this stuff would have had to be before observers and slime blocks. He is pretty much the only connection I have to minecraft at this point. I haven't played the game in years, and I don't watch any other minecraft RU-vidrs. But somehow Etho is still a part of my life, since chocolate island, however many years ago that was.

About the math at the end, you said “if somebody dies every 40 seconds” but then calculated it as if every player in the game was dying every 40 seconds.

I've slowly been making my way through your lets play episodes from ten years back and this impromptu episode is giving me wonderful old school etho vibes

I don't know how I missed this 3 days ago, but I wanted to say seeing BattleBane become a reality after all these years as the Hermits raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity was truly cathartic and moving. I would not say I'm one to normally tear up at a video of people playing Minecraft, but wow, I was incredibly touched by such amazing people doing such amazing things. Thanks for everything Etho, you have brought more stability and meaning to so many lives than you could ever realize

i’ve been working on developing my own game (not in minecraft lol) and just hearing your game design thought process really gives me a lot of inspiration! i love how you solved multiple problems and improvised the game flow by just added the golden apple that is like the ideal game dev solution to any problem!!
