It has been an honour and a privilege to share this Season with one of the original OG's of the Minecraft Universe. Thanks for everything this year Doc, you carried me on your shoulders during tough times this year and I'm so thankful to have shared this magnificent experience with you brother!

I like that the spaceship doubles as a museum for builds from prior seasons

I have been watching Hermitcraft for a year now. HOW DID I NOT KNOW THE HERMATRIX LORE?! THEY ARE ON A SPACESHIP, BEING THROWN IN SIMULATIONS THAT ARE THE SEASONS?! HOLY CRAP.

illegal raves in an industrial area, can’t get any more German than that. What an epic ending to this season, can’t wait for upcoming shenanigans.

Definitely didn’t expect this to end with a hermitcraft space opera, but I am so on board

I was wondering how the “game” outside of the main continent would survive the “reset.” Bravo! You and Ren did a fantastic job with this story arc and ruled Season 8! I’m definitely looking forward to what you do next. Happy Holidays!

Doc: "It's from toy story" I almost blew a fuse laughing at that one! I've never seen so much brilliant work put into a season finale of hermitcraft before, or ever, actually. I am so excited for season 9!! Or will it be season 8? And will the hermits remember what happened in the simulation? I can't wait to find out!

Hey. My theory about Grumbot keeping the hermits in a simulated reality while waiting for the update was pretty close. Didn't expect RenBob or GoatMan to be the ones keeping everyone safe in the interim though. Good work Doc! this was such a fun story line. Can't wait to find out who was the intruder who stowed away though. Wondering if the virus was EvilX or something else (-_-)

That ending was amazing. Especially the way the lightning was foreshadowed with the Tesla Coil, earlier in the season (with it hanging out in the background as well)

Ah, the 'real Season 8' being the full update with all the Caves and Cliffs terrain generation.

there's a lot to digest from this episode, the news that there's a season 9 is not surprising but the situation regarding simulation is...Odd, do all hermits know deep down that they're participating in a simulation thinking its newer seasons? hmm, a lot to think. Great job Doc & Hermits for all the hardwork you guys put in. This season was the best by far.

That. was. Epic. The word "epic" gets overused sometimes, but that was just next level over the top awesome excellent epic-ness right there. Really really nice work Doc, this whole season has just been Art.

I am worried about the crystals on that back booster and what effect it could have on the future sessions.

Wow that animation is amazing combined with Jono's music and so hilarious to see Hermits dancing this way i was imaging them doing this in real life and it would be too funny

I love the line doc says at the end. Something like "technically we've only had 7 seasons. Season 8 was only a test to keep their minds busy until the real season 8"

That rave-cinematic was soooo hilarious, specially ebcause of the BDubs with the wide open eyes and the smile combines with the movements :D But I loved seeing that the hermits were incorporated. It was an amazing Season Doc!

WHY IS THIS SO GOOD?!? Also I really loved the animation reminiscent of early 2010's Minecraft Fandom. It really brought me back.

I can't tell you how hard I laughed at the His Name Is Mumbo Jumbo scene, my back hurt, I think I cried a little, I had to catch my breath, that was HILARIOUS 😂🤣 That ending was next-level!! What do I even say?! The lore, the lines, the story, the epic build, the references, the HYPE FOR SEASON 9!!! Or, shall I say, the real season 8? ;) What a finale! Thank you so much for this incredible, phenomenal, AWESOME season, and super amazing episode!

Man, what a way to end a season! Short season, but exceptionnal one. I hope they'll keep the roleplay/storytelling aspect next season, it really ads something special.

honestly im sad that this season ended so fast i honestly thought you still have gas left with all these mega bases and ultra farms it kinda feels wasted. still this season you are the best hermit ngl

I’ve been watching HermitCraft since season 3…and each & every season has been more *epic* than the last! *But THIS* season has blown all the others away! (Esp Ren & Doc’s extreme builds & MineCraft breaking mechanics…plus a *truly epic* storyline!!) Also including the most epic season sever wide ending ever! - I’ve loved watching both Ren & Doc in HermitCraft from the beginning but them teaming together created the most insanely epic base, store, MineCraft breaking tech & storyline Ive seen thus far! It will be incredibly difficult to top this season’s epicness…but I can’t wait to see them try! *THANK YOU* for all your work & dedication !!

I was like hmm. An odd 20 min Doc episode. This will definitely be a banger.

Still not gonna believe it's the end of the season until I see Season 9 videos. 6 months? Tons of unfinished builds? Very few minigames? Mumbo planning an industrial district even though he would have known of the season ending ahead of time? No server-wide racing day at the Horse Course that BDubs and Etho spent so much time on? I'm not buying it, Brochachos.

Gotta say, this was my favourite season so far. It was shorter, but with new hermits, ARG's, Element, Jono, and Pooka spreading the love, crazy game-breaking with the octachunk (and a casual discovery of quantum entanglement), the return of both Evil X, Hels/Welsknight, its been crazy and so much fun. Cant wait to see what happens in the next season.

Gotta hand it to Ren and Doc for their narrative this season. Truly one of the most inspired seasons, constantly pumping out quality episode after quality episode, each one containing a project somehow more crazy than the last.

hey just a cool little theory, ik im like 5 months late, anyways the reason why grumbot was the best person to make a simulated reality for ren bob and doc was because at the end of season 7 mumbo and grian put grumbot in a cube simulating that mumbo had won the election for mayor, they must have taken grumbot from season 7 and taken the technology from him, and used it for the hermatrix, it could just be a funny easter egg though

It all makes sense, Bdubs doing redstone, mumbo building, and Grian defeating the ender dragon all by himself. It was all a simulation.

Favorite season 100%. You put so much work into this season and watching you make progress is super entertaining.
