Minecraft Hermitcraft : What is the Hermatrix? Where to begin... Since the start of Season 8, this question has always been there in the back of our minds. Now that we find ourselves at the End of Days, can we answer it? We have to... before it's too late. The Hermits need us!

Welcome, RU-vid Minecraft viewer, to Hermitcraft Season 8! I am a proud member of Hermitcraft, and this will be my fifth season on this amazing Minecraft SMP server!
Hermitcraft is a Minecraft SMP server featuring some of RU-vid's best and most talented Minecrafters. The server is 100% Minecraft Vanilla 1.17! This is the eighth season of Hermitcraft, and we will be basing with Docm77 on a brand new Hermit Continent with all of our fellow Hermits!

I'm guessing the idea to do a hermitcraft mini-season came from the caves and cliff's split. The idea to write lore around it was a genius idea. Well done to all the hermits!

See I don't think this was the initial plan until *after* the experimental snapshots started, cause it dramatically changed the world generation and by pruning the chunk despite the blending of current terrain would work pruning chunks isn't as clean, but as the snapshots came around the idea came around, much like welknights he had already started the mega build for the season but hasn't posted in a long time with hermitcraft and I think it's because of it becoming a mini season he lost inspiration, but adding the lore to why things have been so weird around the HC server helps make a lot of things make sense

I think they may have ran into the problem that a few minecraft updates in a row would be including world gen changes. I'm happy to follow whatever they come up with though.

@@JOENAD0 the plan probably fell apart as soon as the snapshots started. I put their seed in once the biome blending was finalized and it was not pretty, there was also no ocean in the new generation which made the blend really bad.

I think the stuff on the ship comes from octagon island. And since Doc commented “now let’s get some rest and do it again, but even bigger!”, I think the octagon is returning in s9.

@@ErasedRhythm I think the season 8 world is where Evil X ended up after he got banned. It would make sense (I think) since s8 was a simulation this would be where all the banned players went. Edit: I haven’t watched X’s vid yet. Don’t know what went down that’s just my hypothesis of why that world specifically. Edit2: just watched X’s vid. I am stupid and all of what I just said was true lol. Though it was a good fantheory.

The way I figure it Evil X was the infection or Jeff the minion controlling Evil X which explains why X’s powers diminished and soon disappeared due to the moon firewall and the Octagon’s installation and the reason why evil X couldn’t escape the moon firewall was because he was in the hermatrix and didn’t realize it because Jeff the minion was controlling him the majority of the time. That’s my theory please let me know if you agree or disagree

The fact that the last scene is filmed in the Season 6 storage room and that Renbob says "To infinity and beyond" really makes me think of Season Sixfinity.

Yeah same here, it was so short and so many things they said would happen didn't happen at all. For example what was said at the start of the season with the chunks outside the continent getting whatever the word is because of 1.18. I wonder what made them decide to take this route

@@the_Lena_girl It might've been stuff like the Boatem Hole because if it updated to 1.18 they would've added new caves under the already explored chunks. They might've updated a copy of the Season 8 world and it could've messed something up in that back up. I'm just guessing as to why they decided to end it so suddenly.

*pterosaur, pterodactyl is a single species. Are you talking about the queztalcoatlus? I just know that's the biggest one. But I just did a google search, it's wingspan is 30-40 ft wide while a fighter jet is 31 ft, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Congratulations for arguably the best HC season ever. Even if it was just a simulation. Just when I thought you guys could not top HC-8, you came up with all of this amazing idea and content for us. These 18 episodes of yours and 28 episodes from Doc, even though few, where magnificent and perfectly captured the essence of you guys' vision for this season. 6 and 8 are tied for me. 6 for being the introduction of the red chaos known as Grian and Sahara + how long it was. 8 was gr8 because of all the lore and funny moments even though things got a bit whacky with scar making 20000 hats in the end.

I think The Nothing is a pretty good stand-in for how difficult it has been for creatives these past 2 traumatic years. Following that thought, this ending is especially carthatic with the meticulous planning for this season all working out, not to mention contributions from other artists for everyone's final episode. The Hermatrix ARG and plot line was so good! Thank you so much Ren (and Doc) for all the hard work behind the scenes it must have required to pull off! This was the first season of Hermitcraft I watched as it was released, and I enjoyed every second of it. I especially loved all the storytelling aspects this season had (though if you and the other Hermits to not do so for future seasons, I understand, especially since this was supposed to be a more experimental season). Though with what I’m guessing is the Nothing attached to the back of the Hermitheus, there’s always the chance that it may pop up again when it’s least expected. Can’t wait to see what ideas and stories you tell next season, Ren! Also, you and Doc realizing what you two did after murdering everyone just like “… Did we really just do that?” was so funny. XD

We can definitely tell that HC is trying to create an entire storyline, and the ship as the transfer from season to season, is perfect, as well as the fact season 8 was just a simulation while going from season to season.

This is the best episode I have watched of HermitCraft. But no one is talking about your lore. I saw one person talk about it but they talked about it like The Stargazer, Hermitrix and GigaCorp weren’t linked. It’s like no one cares about this masterpiece.

What an absolute banger of a season. The production value was INSANE. The music, the animation, the story, and the builds. Also have to give it to the phantoms. Their appearance hilariously adds to the sheer chaos. Can't wait for S8.

Rendog my dude, you absolutely killed it this season. Every hermit should be taking notes from you. You make, by far, the most cinematic episodes of any Minecraft content I've ever seen. Congrats on yet another fantastic season and here's to many more.
