Being against bans in competitive is silly. I think no one wants to see the same few comps over and over like how we’ve seen the past while, only changing with each meta. Seeing different dynamic compositions on the spot is what this is all about. I don’t get being so against it. YES I LOVE SEEING TRACER/LUCIO/ OR SOJ EVERY GAME!!!! YESSSSS
I've gathered that Overwatch players just don't understand how a ban system is supposed to work, and Jaws comparison to League only proves that. If you actually watch any League match, the bans wildly change from game to game and it actually tests the adaptability of both players and coaches. An example I like to use is if the enemy bans out Sombra? You respond with a Wrecking Ball ban. It creates variety and forces adaptability which are good things; mirror matches are so boring to watch and why I stopped watching pro Overwatch
Lightt from Honeypot actually said on stream that they are consistantly beating spg in scrims, so they easliy match up against the top 5/6 team in korea
Barley got top 5 and lemme tell you how all 4 current Korean teams stomped them out easily while barely trying against them lmao and not to mention the context of the actual scrims being held. Who played, how long, what was the goal of the scrim, what time they played etc etc never use scrims as a definitive way judge teams
@@ELI-521 if they CONSISTANTLY beat SPG i imagine they can at least match up to them. and ofc the top 4 korean teams are in a league of their own, i didn't say Honeypot would win owcs just because they beat SPG in scrims lmao
For M80, i think the bigger thing is Happy being off ping, and being together more. As hitscan on ping is really hard imo. But yeah, hoping to see better from M80 locked into this tournament
soooooo excited for hero bans! Does this drastically throw a wrench in how pro players practice as jake mentioned, yes! But it brings back a SPARK to competitive play that isn't always there. if you can't practice on perfect info, everyone just has to do what is best for them, and I feel like this will bring much more team comp diversity. People will need to be flexible, be smart, and it will be sooo much more fun to watch now
Based AVRL mentioning that DAF have beaten Varrel in the head2head for like two years now. Everybody expecting them to be the strongest not KR Pacific team just bc of OWWC. Crazy.
AVRL is having some kind of issue with his mic, it sounds like a buzzing whenever he talks. I noticed it on SVB's podcast too, and you can't hear it on anyone else.
I dont think people were mad at the tracer mythic being a tier because they hate tracer.. its because its a trash skin that is C or B at best. The moira skin is minimum 2 tiers above the tracer one
@@chuddyduddyActually clinically insane to think that. The no face hoodie is 10000x better than any variation of tracer skin. And tracer guns look like shit
To be fair on the OWL drops. Its an actual thing that a lot of prople never got youtube drops because youtube drops system is trash. I watch the entierty of toronto and didnt get a single drop.
Most content creators make Hero Bans look like the solution to every problem in ranked but the reality would be: "I want to play Genji, I want to ban Moira" and not "The enemy team picked these Heroes and therefore we should ban this".
Also who would decide what to ban? 10 random players who probably haven't played together much before? The picks would be impossible to decide. Unless it's just a rotation of bans enforced by Blizzard, which no one would like actually.
@@CrazeeAdam Face It Saudi Arabia is putting in hero bans for their pro league. It's coming whether players in NA like it or not. It's a matter of when, not if.
I’m not a fan of hero bans in competitive OW. It’s like an opposing team being able to ban Lebron James for a quarter of the game. It over complicates the game in an unnecessary way and creates an even bigger barrier of entry for new players.
