This music reminds me of the following scene: - harpies fly to the back of some pikemen; - harpies turn around; - pikemen turn around; - harpies do 1032 damage. 22 pikemen die; - pikemen turn back to the normal position; - harpies fly back to the initial position; - harpies turn back to the normal position.
The only time I actually played HoMM3, I was Rampart, and of course immediately tried investing in elves because I'm a camper by nature. And in the first fight with elves in my army this music played. Fits perfectly.
Armies on top of opposing hills face each other, suddenly the drums of war echo across the small valley and the armies start their charge as they scream out their war cries. Finally clashing in the middle and fighting with a battle craze, for king and country.
I also believe HoMM3 is the best from them all both in gameplay and music. The latter didn't have a repetitive theme slightly altered according to the faction you played, and to me this was their best song followed by Castle, Rampart, Necropolis.
I'm a bit late but HoMM V is a remastered version of 3 in almost every single aspect. Back in the day it wasn't very popular but nowadays is still the closest one to Heroes III.
The best theme. It generally happens in epic battles as well as 'boss' or 'mission objective' battles. Like defending a siege from a lv 20 necro with meteor shower (in the campaign) with a lv 3 sir mullic
Actually it IS an artifact. A combination artifact called the Cloak Of The Undead King. It gives more powerful undead according to your necromancy level.
I keep remembering the sound of pikemen thrusting into dwarves, or medusas shooting down those skeleton warriors, but most, the dragons flapping their wings fighting each other with theyre fire-breathing, chrushing everything in their path! So....Damn....GOOD!!!!
Played yesterday a bit of homm3, from all my army the only thing that survived to the point the enemy fled were 40 gorgons (those bull creatures of fortress). This music played. I was sure i was done for, was pleased I won (this hero wasn't my strongest so i was hella scared)
@YankoBG94 Heroes 4 and 5 didn'T suck they just sufer from a bad case of not as good as previous installment, Since 3 was incredible, all ppl says that 4 and 5 suck but were they really that bad?
You need the amulet of the undertaker, dead man's boots and the vampire's cowl. put them all on and they will be combined into the cloak of the undead king
This reminds me protecting Fortress with Lizards and Behemoths... Enemy surrounded my force’s castle... Casted slow, arrow their troops.. hold still, resurrect lizards as they die... move Behemoth to broken walls to guard my Fortress by leveraging Behemoth’s (-80% reduces enemy’s defense) feature... lol wow
@Delarius86 ??? IMO 5 is excellent (flamers are gonna flame) And 4 although ugly is the most pro-oriented of them all. But yeah, 2 and 3 are the best, especially 3 is unbeatable.
Actually heroes 4 was pretty good ,gameplay and soundtrack wise. It was a little more modern ,that's all . It was still in the same setting ,it had awesome music ,awesome spells and awesome isometric design. The transition to 3D just doesn't suit the Heroes of Might and Magic series imo.
Heroes 1 - Best because of originality Heroes 2 - Best Graphics. Heroes 3 - Best gameplay Heroes 4 - Best Inventions Heroes 5 - Best Story Heroes 6 - Best Monster and City Design. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
