16 and I played this growing up because of my grandmother. She introduced me to mythology, fantasy games, and so much more. She will be forever missed. R.I.P. Nana, 10/27/12
when we run 10 km in the woods and I need to sprint the last km, while my legs are hurt, no more stamina left and I fall 20 meters behind the group.... I play this song on my Ipod.
This combat theme has always been the music that I want when I am about to defeat my enemy with my best hero and strongest army either attacking his castle or defending one of mine. Just watching Crusaders getting a lucky attack on one double hit plus a morale bonus to then do it again is just beautiful to watch. Same with Minotaurs.
In a way it has a fullfilling and positive vibe, while listening to it, i am always feeling like i have a will and courage in it, like i could do it with my whole heart and love. Truly inspirational in my honest opinion and i would describe it in many more ways now, but i lost my words currently.
This one just hits different, like it's telling the history of a empire, a continent, everything that had happened had lead to this one battle, and god it is the perfect music for the final battle against your opponent's main force after hours of gaming
"Footmen! hold the line! We just need to buy our marksmen a few more minutes to finish off the magogs, or they'll tear us to pieces! Griffins, intercept the pit fiends, block that breach! COME ON YOU BASTARDS, IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT?!?" *A screaming boulder smashes into the gatehouse, letting in hordes of horned demons* "SHITE! FOOTMEN, FALL BACK! Cover the marksmen! Marksmen, new targets, assist the footmen, keep the demons as far away as possible! Cavalry, flank the demons and tear em to pieces! Zealots, try and hold off for as long as you can, just keep the devils distracted! As soon as I can, I'll blast the magogs with blind, and we'll have a chance!" *The sound of horns, and the demons flee through the gates* "Are they... YES! HAHA! THAT'S RIGHT, RUN YOU BASTARDS! FLEE IN TERROR OF THE WRATH OF ANGELS! HEAVEN'S ON OUR SIDE, AND WE CANNOT LOSE!" Ahh... Memories...
Haha, cute story ;). I like the word "wraith" tho ;). Sandro will send 1000s of hungry Skelettons and Zombies to take a quick bite into your "footmen"; then, the mortals will win over a bit thinking: We are winning! While in reality, they get carried away from their allied force and thus, trapped. Then, for any soldier one ghost appears from the flanks; and you hear the sound of regeneration and death, while the vampires take care of the zealots, the cavalry and the marksmen.... and the archangels: Well, a formidable force yes, but also tasty beef for hungry Ghost Dragons and Death Knights :). Long live Sandro!
I just love the sense of finality in this track. It's basically perfectly fitting for those last decisive battles that decide the outcome of the current match - either you win and finally finish the scenario, or you lose the battle and either get hard-stomped from that point onward or take a long while to recover and get back to a favorable position.
How many times have I sat looking at all the spells in my magic book, trying to decide what to cast, knowing if I cast the wrong spell I could lose the battle, but I can't decide, so I shoot with my Grand Elves first, but then the enemy's Pit Lords get another turn from good morale and charge my centaurs, killing most of them instantly, making me regret not casting Slow or Shield? All while this awesome music plays in the background, adding to the tension, giving me goosebumps. Heroes
ROFL I loved how some of the units walked so elegantly, and when they were about to attack, both units turn around so educated to prepare for the attack. I somehow was always mesmerized by the wolf rider hair waving when he was moving @_@
I defeated 50000 black d. in Empire of the World map with Blinds and Clones and other spells, of course with Orb of vulnerability and while listening to this. I got Tome of Air Magic :P
The perfect music for that last decisive battle that will decide whether you're going to FINALLY FINISH THAT DAMN MAP, or if you're going to get revengestomped because you've just lost your main hero.
Oh God, how much I wanted to find this theme and listen to it again. I used to play this game with my friends when I was young, on LAN. You have no idea how fun it was, and this theme...Dear God, this game was perfect and is perfect in every aspect for its genre.
1:44 POV: you're 10 years old playing on your parents computer. summer breeze blows gently on your face from the open window, while you command your marksmen to attack the enemy skeletons.
Ty 4 upload ^^
This battle theme was the turning point of every battle, my defense skill might as well have gone up by like 25 because I destroyed them. I remember playing as Conflux and a massive maxed lvl 13 hero just said hi to my main base and I somehow won with 2 weeks of troops (this is with the double growth from the castle but still) they had about 1.2k halberdiers which are notorious for being tanky little bastards and 6 archangels…. FUN! Lvl 1 hero defense goes way too hard man. I don’t know how but I won by the smallest amount possible, 1 firebird and a few energy elementals o7 (with bless of course) I thank the sprites greatly for destroying their marksman early and my archers had to mega focus the catapult (because if I didn’t, I die and yes I focused the catapult before the monks, fight me. I won’t win) The archangels got mega focused by my melee units in the castle and I won by flying around like a nuisance and making them run through the water. No I don’t feel bad
Masterpiece of Pc game music With this music, you don't run. You don't flee. You protect your last town. You have not choice You have to fight until the end.
Man, i kind of shed a tear of nostalgia just now. Me and my gf went to a Harry Potter themed escape room today and the song playing inside the room was this magical piece. Remebered my childhood and the countless hours playing heroes 3, going into battles with this theme in the background. The room master didn't even know this song comes from a pc game, i think he was about 19 yo. Funny thing is i was absolutely sure he knew that, didnt even realise we are a generation apart and both me and the game are old now.
I'm listening to these songs the first time in many many years and I'm getting bloody SHIVERS of nostalgy. :-) Also, even if I had never heard these tracks, the composer is truly a god...
So many memories came from this game. Still to this day this game is so legendary, I wish they would release a hd version from this game cause if they would maybe more people would play this amazing game:3 Long live the Heroes of might and magic 3
I think this game will live on for quite a while I will never stop play this. A game dies when its forgotten! So people lets make this game live on forever cause its truly one of my all time favourites!
sometimes heroes might and magic just have the best battle themes ever that drives the goosebumps out of your skin.. this theme right here is very befitting 1 archangel having to go through hell and survive against all odds!
absolutely fantastic, I did not remember how great battle musics were on III, musics were clearly part of the magic of this game. I did not often have the chance to hear these musics till the end as ennemies did not resist during 3:15 !!!
