I burned up all my hero puns on Hero Explained, so trivia time! The reason this deck has a small level 1 focus is because of Number shenanigans, and despite everyone in the shenanigans playing Rank 4 decks, the Number in question (Number 54) is a Rank 1.

Honestly I love using isolde in heroics if nothing else because they’re a one card enabler for thousand blade, especially useful when the monster you search of of Isolde (usually assault halberd) has been summoned already for material

Gotta say number 86 wouldn't have been banned if it was not generic warriors. Goukis and infernoble knights abused it too. Also the number that helped it go into to give it material was still a 4 to 5 card combo but it should have been banned instead and 86 limited to 1

I agree. If for the up and coming ban list they limit electrumite to further boost Valiant and new Performapal things in Dimension Force I can see one Rhongo being sufficient enough. Or at least an errata to work ONLY with Heroic Challengers.

@@joshcooper467 was thinking to errate him so he requires Heroics as material to summon, and also to make his detach mandatory (Detach 1 xyz from this card or send it to GY). Thoughts?

@@leojamesquiambao1047 yeah that's literally the only thing making him far more balanced. I like that it goes from every prevalent threat to a ticking time bomb the opponent has to outlast or get blasted by. This is a pretty fair errata to me. Gives heroics a bit of a control niche to hold the opponent off and then swoop in with a big hit from the new rank 4.

It had never occurred to me that heroic gift is actually somewhat viable in heroics. I always saw it as a meme card, but today I learned that heroic numbers can get big enough that a life point reset doesn't matter

Tsukumo Slash can also be a good combination if you are at low lp and you want to otk and Action Magic - Full Turn goes with that or just Solais

Reminds me of when I used to play Heroic/Boxers good times. And agreed that Rongo wouldn't have been so bad if he wasn't generic materials for a well supported monster typing.

I play this deck and can very easily get Rhongomyniad. Golden Nova you can use Ambush Soldier + Heroic Retribution Sword together to literally ambush your opponent if you have the life points to spare.

Dunno how many people care, but Claiomh Solais, Magnum Shield, Heroic Chance, and Excalibur can easily reach upwards of 24k ATK Just saying

Hmm, I wonder if Heroic Enoy works with Bad Reaction to Simochi since the oppoennt technically gains life points? Still wouldn't be a great burn card but the overkill burn damage would be hilarious lol

I like your videos, but when you talk about other cards that interact with the one you've just presented, it would be a nice touch if you showed them on the screen, such as during the rongo section. It'll improve the production quality significantly imo. Since you seem to prefer using slides, just switching to a new slide with the card in question, and switching back after you're done talking about it would help viewers fully understand the interaction you're talking about.

Heroics are a deck I want to like so bad. Big cool armored warriors with a variety of sick weapons is exactly my aesthetic (and it's why I love Noble Knights). But they always seemed like...really bad to me. Like, _really_ bad. Like Digital Bugs bad. They didn't seem like they had any coherent theme and Heroic Gift felt like a comical insult. But this video helps a bit; maybe I could use the ideas put forth here to actually make a Heroic deck...function. Maybe not work, but function at least. And I do respect the idea of "Heroic Gift is fine if you can just OTK your opponent from 8k anyway" but it still feels like a ridiculous anime card given life that only works if you were written to win the duel regardless afterwards.

Heroics is one of the worst Archetypes in Yu-Gi-Oh history. Just like an another crappy Archetype like Red-Eyes, they both need a powerful boss monster to stay relevant.

If we're going off of that cut and paste description for a "worst" archetype then anything that HAS to play DPE Dragoon or even Savage Dragon Apollousa or even something niche like Utopia The Lightning is bad by your standards huh?
