ACTUALLY..... I watched a few of these videos and noticed mostly white and black and a few Mexican, but like zero Asians... SO, I look up statistics of Opioid usage by race and it is massively white, then black, then Mexican, with Asian and others a small sliver of the pie, like 1% small!!! Addiction CAN tackle everyone, but it is very unwise IMHO to ignore these statistics and pretend it happens to anyone... There must be something, maybe cultural, maybe family values, maybe even genetics that this hurts certain races much more than others and *finding that answer may be a big solution to the problem!*

He is so self aware it's astounding. I hope that he gets the help that he needs to erase those tapes in his head that force him and many like him, to continue down a path of destruction. He has so much to live for. He is intelligent, articulate and capable and he has a small child who he can use as additional inspiration to break this curse - the paternal addiction that is afflicting his family. He has to be the one to stop this. Children of addicts are 50% more likely to also fall into addiction themselves. Due to the fact that both of this little boy's parents have a history of drug use, that increases his son's chances of falling into his footsteps even more. Chris, if you are reading these comments -- remember that yes, your brain is telling you the wrong thing, it is tempting you and telling you it needs the drug (being the gorilla on your back) - but YOU are in control. YOU have to say enough is enough. You have to get into treatment, dig deep and find out what you are running from, address it and you have to do it daily. You are still young and the possibilities for you are endless. You are worth the effort and so is your son! We're rooting for you!

I got my life back and I wont gamble that away a second time. I'm so grateful and that's how I stay clean. These videos really help too. It reminds me of how easy it is to fall back in "the life" and if I ever feel weak I feel strength from watching these so THANK YOU for all you do making these and THANK YOU to the ppl sharing their stories. The hardest part of addiction is the mental part but the best feeling in the world is the first few times you say No to drugs even though a part of yourself says fuck it take it, remember how good you felt, and you still had the courage to walk away from it, feels so much better than any high. For me at least. And I kept it all to myself I didnt need anyone else to know what I had just said no to, and that felt even better. A sense of humility came over me,but you must stay head strong and when the urges came over me and I would cry bc I had to feel emotions I had suppressed for so long it hurt real bad, but I held fast kept going to treatment every single day and I now have no more mental cravings....I wish and pray Chris finds the strength to finally just stop, just stop the pain for good. God bless Chris and this channel!

Does the mental cravings really ever stop? That's where I'm stuck now for the past 3 years. I get clean for a few weeks or month or so then break and get high then withdrawals then feel better then break and get high again. I feel like I'm in purgatory.

Thank you for making these videos. I’m not an addict and don’t know any but your great work allows us to see what’s outside of our own lives, to see the realities. More importantly, giving these young people a voice and allowing them to speak openly, freely, without judgment or preaching may help them more than we realize. Generally speaking, when people know what they’re doing is wrong and how they’re harming themselves, it becomes annoying when others constantly tell them so. But when they actually voice their feelings, their experiences and their lives, many things would/could hit home and hopefully take steps to change their situation. I sincerely hope this articulate and bright young man, and others like him, recover and make changes to improve their lives.

I’ve been watching so many videos on this channel. I can’t get enough. I love how this channel is showing what REALLY goes on in this world👍🏼 Great job guys👏🏻I’m the same age as this guy Chris and, it’s crazy cuz him and I literally have almost the same stories. Down to the father situation. Which obviously addiction runs in genes. My dad was also a addict & left when I was very young, and he recently just tried coming back in my life which is a whole other story. Yea Chris and I have some differences but, wow so similar! Crazy! I’m still trying to figure my life out but, I don’t have much hope. I’ve wasted so many years. And, I know it’s my own fault. I’m in a real deep depression right now. I wish the best for this guy. It’s so hard though. I hope and pray he gets off the streets and stays off. This lifestyle is basically eternal though. I understand where he’s coming from because it truly is a NEVER ending battle☹️Even if your good for a while, u always gotta remember that beast is always manifesting. And, as soon as you feed it that’s it! It’s a wrap! It goes downhill from here. And it can happen THAT quick. U could be clean for 3 years and, it goes down the drain as quick as a snap of a finger. Cmon lets get real here...NO ONE just wakes up one day and, says “oh I’m gonna shoot a needle in my arm today and be a junkie for the rest of my life and loose everything and anything I’ve ever cared cared about while doing it.” Nope! And who the hell enjoys needles? who wants that?? No one! No one wants to be homeless. No one wants to feel this way or go thru this shit. No one deserves that. This is the hardest thing to go through, and when people are quick to judge or ridicule, try walking in my shoes, and let me know how u make out. It’s one of the hardest things u would ever have to do. Everyone lives in their little bubbles with no regard to what goes on. So before ppl judge, educate yourselves! Which is why this channel is great for what they are doing. It’s showing a personal insight into these peoples lives. It gets real and raw which is great because it shows that everyone is human. EVERY addict is someone’s son/daughter/brother/sister/cousin/niece nephew etc! And, when some1 takes a mind altering substance, that shit fucks up the chemicals in ur brain. Exactly like he said...even if u have the physical part under wraps, u still got the mental part. It’s tough. Addiction and mental illness run hand in hand, and I fall victim to both. Our government allows this shit in this country at the end of the day too. Something NEEDS to change. People need to have more compassion. I never wanted this. My life is in shambles. Looking back when I was younger and in my early twenty’s I had my shit together. I had a normal life. Now, I have NOTHING. It sucks. I just wish people understood where we are coming from ya kno? Like I have people that talk to me like such a piece of shit because they have never been in my shoes and think they know everything. It’s humiliating. Do you really think that this guy Chris wants to beg ppl for change outside a store. As you can see, this man is a pretty well educated person. He has his wits and, can hold a conversation. I bet he can be a CEO of a company if he wanted. Think about it, my habit was so high and, somehow I figured out how to get enough $ every day to maintain my habit. For someone to come up with money every day with no job, no income, no help should speak volumes about the capability of an addict. If only us addicts would put that energy/effort into something productive. I bet we could all be very successful ppl. But, instead I am forever in debt to the devil cuz of this shit. I have no home, no money, no bank account, no car, nothing. I am starting fresh again at the age of 32!!! It blows. I don’t even have clothes for the winter and I live up north. So in the end, the devil one and took everything from me. I almost lost my life a few times because of drugs. The devil is always battling for my soul. He’s close to getting it too. Im ready to give up. I lost myself over the years. I don’t even know who I am anymore. I can’t hold a job down cuz I’m all over the place. I don’t know where to start. My adhd is so debilitating for me nevermind everything else. My brain is scattered 24/7. It never stops. Even now, I’m going on and on in a comment on a RU-vid video basically talking to myself for no reason?🤦🏻‍♀️Like no one is prob even gonna read this lol. Anyways, I’m gonna shut up now. Either way, I appreciate what this channel is doing and want to express my gratitude. U guys are awesome 🤘🏻 Please continue to share this material because I am def one of ur fans that will keep watching/subscribing/liking! These videos allow people to get and up close and personal narrative which in turn may help some naive people open their eyes and get a better understand where we r coming from. And, I hope God can show me the way because the light at the end of the tunnel is getting dimmer and dimmer for me day after day. 🙏🏻 Much love to the creators of this channel❤️🥰 (sorry for the novel)🙈
