60€ for a Snapfit/Wooster model ? God damn thats greedy AF 😂 And nobody wants that BOAC 377 they made.. would have been such a good opportunity to reveal the German Airways E190 at the open day, that would have been a proper 75th anniversary model for the open day..

@BongoPlanes - not sure if you need more 1:500 for your collection, but the US store Airplane Shop is having a big sale on Herpa 1:500 models. $13-20 USD for dozens of aircraft. Not sure how much shipping is to you, but best prices I’ve seen in a decade.

An full on embarrassement at their wings division.. Let's just hope the delays on models being released will buy them time to fix quality issues... But we have to damit: their cars & trucks business seems to be going strong, despite having seen price increases.

The pirnted models look over proportion... Personally i do preffer plastic accesories...

Herpa are soon more expensive then gemini jets! Soon even the 200 scale... That's why I've been collecting only 1:400, not 1:500, Since herpa has no competitors, there is no one really for them to compete with. So they can do any price; as they are the only 1:500 manufacturer.

Has Herpa said anything about the price increases?

Hard to understand why they would release a Stratocruiser for this event, and I won’t expect it to be a best seller. Having said that, one of the more interesting models in my collection is a Northwest Airlines Stratocruiser in their 1950’s livery, which by itself makes it a great looking aircraft. In addition, the mould and the detailing is fairly good; the main and front landing gears in particular are quite intricate and very realistic looking. In summary, Herpa made an admittedly odd looking airplane into a fairly attractive model. So if you’re into classic airliners, this one is worth at least checking out.

They don't know their customer base, they also overcharge a lot.
