The new HEVI-Metal LR is actually a better product. I understand that the original HM had tungsten instead of bismuth. However, it was an alloy and about 9.1 g/cc. The HMLR Bismuth is a 9.64 g/cc. The bismuth is 1 shot size smaller and has the same lethality as the steel. I get what you are saying, I felt the same way, until I found that the HMLR really does a great job. I use a slightly tighter choke. Love the stuff.

This stuff really hammered ducks at 40-55 yards. Sold on it.

Just shot a turkey from 30 yards 12 gauge 3 1/2 4 shot 1 3/8 ounce 1500 fps. Gun Mossberg 835 ultra mag. With full turkey choke. Head shot. The turkey Did not run off but took some time to die. When, I began plucking it. I noticed several of the # of shot drop out of the bird. When looking at the shot size it was .103 this is roughly number 7. I broke open a shell and found only one pellet the diameter of roughly number 5 in size. What a joke. The average load size is best #6. No quality control. Plus a filler that looks like wheat germ. Shitty product.
