ikr like i would never compare a band like bring me the horizon. (back when sum people considered them metal.) to a band like slipknot

I remember in school in music class that everyone had to choose their favourite music genre and talk about it and about some bands. I chose metal in general and introduced it with "I hope you have time, it will be a long ride" I cut it short for my favourtie subgenres and it happen to be that some of my classmates started with "ugh metal is just scream and noise" and ended with "wow it can be more melodic than I thought" which is nice I guess

DerBuhn lucky, in all my years of music classes in different schools we don’t learn shit, i learned the same in my guitar lessons than in all my years of school, the only instruments we learned was a kindergarden flute while there where several talented musicians in school and a couple of bands (i was one of the 2 bands in that school at the time) we didn’t learned to play any instruments besides the kindergarden flute not in elementary not in junior high not in high school but in guitar lessons, i understood all what we had been talking in only 3 months (i have an amazing teacher) and there where only 3 months because of the pandemic but thanks to it i have been improving my guitar skills and in December 14 i will have one year of experience
