If you like fishing reservation lakes like this, a really super phenomenal one and the same general area (Lac Du Flambeau) is Whitefish Lake. A 200-acre crystal clear lake with beautiful cabbage. Full of LM bass, northern, Muskie, crappie, bluegill. It used to be a great walleye lake too but they were netted out years ago. For years, this lake was entirely private and you couldn’t get on unless you owned a cottage or knew someone who did. There is one old resort that won’t even let people on for a fee. But a year or two ago, the Indians built a boat landing on it. You have to go into Lac Du Flambeau to a general store and purchase a pass to use the landing. I think it’s $25 for a 3-day pass or $60 for a season. I would say though it’s worth it. At 200-acres and 40-feet, it’s fairly easy to cover. The lake is in the shape of a fish, and there is one large sand/weed bar across the narrows where the fish “tail” meets the main lake. I had a blast fishing this lake in a Jon boat when friends of ours used to have a place on it. Now that there’s a fee landing I’ll definitely be back!
I grew up fishing at this lake one week every summer. I haven't fish it in 15 years unfortunately. Loved this lake we would troll the north end with Rapalas and catch a ton of walleyes and muskie. The west shoreline was great also. Man I miss this lake. Thanks for the video.
I was starting to wonder if we were going to make it to this lake after going down that dirt road that leads to it. I'm sure glad we did though. You'll be happy to know its still an amazing lake. I hope it brought back some memories.
I bet this lake would look awesome on a sunny fall day. The 360 camera has really been a game changer. I love that I can capture the action no matter where it is. Thanks Titus.
I love discovering lakes like this. The boat landing just adds to the adventure. I could do without the mosquitos though. Robert, it looks like someone is impersonating you. They stole your comment, so I deleted them.
That lake is secluded! I love the northern mosquitos. People down south have no idea. Great smallies. Clearly there are giant pike or musky in that lake. lol
The sad thing is, I've been to a few other lakes around there that are even worse for mosquitos. Its hard to even describe how bad they are. The video barely shows how many there were. Those beautiful smallies were worth it!
Yeah sometimes we take a little bit of time to notice we have a fish on. :) it got to be a monster fish that attacked that 14 inch fish. As always great video my Man!
That was hilarious how long that fish was on before you noticed 🤣. I have been there for sure. We have a lake here called Mosquito Creek Reservoir... but you were on the true mosquito lake.
The funny thing is, I had no idea that even happened until I saw it while editing the video. I was just waiting to hear the drag pulling out, so I never looked at it.
The landing I showed you is the only public landing. There are quite a few homes with docks and boats on the south side, so they might have there own private landings, but I didn't notice any.
@@outdoorrn2980 How can you call 1 of the greatest sport fish (Small mouth Bass) trash fish???? Walleye are great fish but if a lake doesnt have Walleye there's still a ton of people fishing for the other species of fish available.
