Just did the same program in wisconsin yesterday 3 days after we got 8" of snow. Slapped them on a chatterbait. Water temp 41° catching them mainly on higher sand spots on a sunny afternoon.
Good job Mike, like getting out of that messy garage. The bait images on the screen is helpful to see the bait being discussed. Good to see your vid presentations advancing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Great video explaining something I have struggled with and then just showing that it works was amazing. I love the condition change videos. Think that's one of the hardest parts about fishing is the weather changes. Please more vids like this on the water.
Great video IKEMASTER last storm that came and gone definitely stirred our lakes up here on Long Island in NY 1st Slay Nation tournament here on L.I. On Sunday wish me luck 🤞
Living in Mass we actually are dealing with snow now in April with 40's-60's this and next week. I'm watching people online pull out nice size bass but I have been striking out in the bank (no boat)
keep at it buddy. I’m originally from Massachusetts, but moved to Vermont and on the warm fronts over the past month. i’ve been catching bass FROM THE BANK at the PONDs. Up to 20+ now, but you got a fish like winter. Dragging jig, slow AF.
We had these exact condition yesterday AND used these almost exact same lures, but never got a bite. It really dinged up my confidence. Today I'm not even sure where to fish. Swallow, deep, ????
I been out 6 times this year skunked every time when i can see the fish on the bottom on my radar i tried chatterbaits spinner baits jigs jerkbait lipless cranks swimbaits dropshots only thing i havent tried is ned rig. Im prettt defeated bc im competing and the guy in first seems to have alot of bass in his river and uses ffs on his kayak.
You've got 50-55% water in jersey? 47.5 degrees in Western Pennsylvania even after we had this sunny 70 degree days. And I cannot catch a fish with water temperatures in the 40s it's getting old
same here in north jersey I wanna get out on the river for some giant pike and the current, gauge feet height and turbidity are horrible been working on the yak all winter and she is ready to go. definitely gonna upgrade from pedals to an anchor lock motor very soon so I can go out more in less than prefect conditions without the fatigue of fighting the current for sure
Had this happen to me on lake Murray SC a few days after Xmas it rained, it was warm rain, i started throwing a buzz bait in the back of the cove, after i caught a few, i switched to a Bama rig and was catching 2 fish back to back cast, i tried other top water but they wanted a loud buzzbait. switched back to the buzzbait after a few on the bama rig, it kept replenishing itself, let it rest for 30 min, go back, catch more, rinse repeat for 3 hours. it was nuts!
my favorite lures in cold muddy water is a b/b jig - weight of the jigs are from bitsy bug to 1/2oz usually the cover is not that dense with veggies so wood and rock mix and tight to cover -presentations - if the fish are active square bill cranks, spinnerbaits if they are not reacting then I bang'em on the head with a jig
I also have found a plastic trailer helps hook up because when they go to hit seems like the bulky plastic get sucked into their mouth better than no plastic. For example a buzz bait with just a skirt vs one with a chunk of plastic on it. Same concept with spinner bait.
Two days ago on Tuesday...72 degrees and sunny. Today on Thursday, 43 degrees and raining like crazy....Saturday and Sunday , sunny and 62 Degrees. It's like Mike new exactly what I needed to plan for this weekend. Pulling out my chatter baits now....Thanks
I just buyed the signature 822 heavy casting rod and i throw the rapala peto 20cm with tungsten weight on it and also big softbaits with pike rig! I know it is a punching rod but for me perfect to throw these baits on this rod for big pike in The Netherlands!
I just experienced this in Arkansas! Yesterday the fish were more out and chasing down bedding bream, after that little storm we had. Today, not a break on the water surface from any fish and I got skunked. I wished I would’ve seen this video earlier! But I know now!! Thanks bro!!
