I moved to Morecambe in 1988 and saw one of the last shows Rocky the Dolphin did at Marineland. I remember all the animal rights activists demonstrating outside Marineland for months (after I'd seen Rocky). They eventually won their fight to have Rocky released. They flew him all the way to the Turks and Caicos Islands and let him FREE. Within 6 months he was dead ! Is there a moral to this story ? I don't know, but hey progress !
