The 30 dollar one also comes with a wrench which isn't available at HF (at least from what I could tell) so if you want to disassemble your spray gun without modifying a 19mm wrench or chewing up the parts with channel locks / pliers it's worth the extra $$$.
3-5-21: I was visiting a local HF store and took another look and to my surprise they have changed the air cap on the cheap $16 gun! It now has the hole patterns of the $30 gun! So, at least keep in mind that things do change and check your gun to see which version you have.
I have the cheaper one and it sprays ok, especially lighter paints, I'm sure the more expensive one sprays better. They also make one nickel or polished aluminum for about $70 and this one is probably an excellent gun for a beginner or hobby painter. I have sprayed acrylic enamel automotive paint and have other guns.
@@rob12449 I think I just prefer the ergonomics of the green one, the trigger has a much closer position to the handle. As far as spray goes, I can't tell a significant difference between the two.
