We've never had them go head to head, but it would be significant. The Daggerboard design is directly handed down from the America's Cup racing yachts, and their deep, C-Shaped design helps our HH models sail upwind significantly better than one with mini-keels. However, if you were to compare the OC Mini Keels to that of a Balance or Outremer with simple daggerboards it would not be all that different - this is because our minikeels have a similar depth and surface area to those boat's daggerboards. I started watching this and was very impressed with the OC design but then started to lose some interest in the video due to the sound quality, pretty sure that you could have used a camera with a mic system and not a mobile phone. Don't get me wrong but I do think that HH or OC catamarans are fantastic.

All HH Catamarans now have the option of Shaft Drives or Sail Drives. Our EcoDrive Parallel Hybrid features shaft drives and is available on all of our boats.
