1:36 this Transformation cutscene was perfect in my opinion. The music, the design, the animation, the voice, the sense of danger. Everything just hit perfect
Probably the most fun I've had fighting a boss in this game. The beat slapping harder than an abusive parent, the unexpected transformation. Fucking amazing
It was 100% someone in the art department saying “we want this to look ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE and we’re willing to waste two weeks worth of production time to ensure it.”
I accidentally discovered that you can make him dive head on into the stone fist that is coming out when he's swimming in the coins. Just stand next to the fist, it deals tons of damage and is just hilarious 🤣 Parry the attacks prior to the dive while standing near the fisto
Absolutely stunning bossfight. Shame we didn't get much of a character introduction in the lead up to this fight like we did with the other bosses. I feel like this character could've been fleshed out more.
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he was used as a returning character in a dlc and/or sequel along with Zanzo. They had a lot of love and creativity put into them (along with literally every other character in this game) for being used only briefly.
@@Googlurg hes isnt dead imo, sure getting crushed by profit sound bad, but he is still in werewolf thingy so yeah, bet he gonna return and i eager to him return
@@Googlurg Also considering how nonchalantly everyone reacted and with how advanced Vandaley is, I have a feeling they can just bring Rekka and Mimosa back as robots/ clones.
@@leighbelk769additionally, roquefort mentions he was on his deathbed when kale "saved" him (presumably by enhancing him) so its presumable that vandelay could have some means of saving people Im not sure if thinking mimosa or rekka being able to survive is still wishful thinking tho.
@@ChamelionK the dj's (remixer of this song) name is wolfgang gartner. The song is a remix of Beethoven 5th I agree Mozart is more appropriate, butmozart's pieces are so dainty and elegant. Not fit for a boss fight
rekka only fought chai because she wanted to crush someone korsika fought chai because she was oblivious and wanted to get back on her regular job mimosa fought chai so she can have a good show but this guy is the only one who's genuinely loyal to kale for what he did to him i find that kinda cute ngl
@@TheRealClaylex I bet Zanzo will be back in the future. He is the only one who'se body didn't explode to bits, or was crushed by a mountain of gold. He was just hit in the face. Even the explosion in his defeat was minimal, AND you can still see his body there.
@@modreamtubersansgaming6907 it’s on Gamepass if it helps, sometimes the subscriptions go for 1 dollar if you’re lucky. But the average is around 10 bucks a month.
Who is willing to bet that Roquefort will come back in the next game, mainly because he can literally swim through coins as seen in this battle and therefore he can definitely survive that cash heap? That and there was no explosion afterwards.
Honestly I doubt none of the bosses are actually dead. Sure they exploded but everyone acts more like they just beat them up and they’re not actually dead. Sure Kale was a jerk but Peppermint doesn’t strike me as the kind of person to be glad her brother is dead. At the very least Roquefort and Zanzo are alive. (Though the latter is probably crippled)
@@leighbelk769 The only part that hints they've been murdering everyone is when Cinnamon says he's glad they didn't have to give Korsica a tragic demise.
Roquefort’s death didn’t make that much sense to me. He’s in a giant wolf mech suit. How does he die by suffocation from coins? Granted, it probably weighs a ton and it did fall on top of him but his mech suit is giant.
Also that he's specialized in tunneling through gold and his compact human mode would be as strong while being whatever times armored against crushing/suffocation. At best he's moody and just got lost in the joy of a really good third quarter.
Up until this point I was amazed by this game but then: battle against a giant cyborg werewolf with techno remix of Beethoven... That's when I knew that I was playing 2023's GOTY
His transformation and sound effect look and sound like they were taken straight out of Transformers with all the hidden panels and pieces. Even his robot form looks like it was taken straight out of beast wars!.
Roquefort. This is actually the name of a strong cheese in France. If I was the character, I will say something like "what are you gonna do cheese-man ? Making me smell your strong breath ?.
I love hifi rush so much! It didn't seem fun at the beginning when I started but after halfway in the game, I was so hyped up! (Down bad for peppermint btw😍)
Can someone explain to me why this guy is not the final boss? Like we couldn’t actually beat him, a pile of money saved our rockstar skins. Banger theme, design, and absolutely fabulous personality 😂
Played it on hard on my first run, his last phase would KO me after 4 hits. Crazy strong boss, also we couldn't even beat him, plot had to knock him out or something
His human form would need to be made from a dense concentration of some kind of liquid metal, maybe something like nanites. Then again the game is cartoony, and this transformation is cool. Sometimes you just have to throw logic out the window.
I like how it’s unclear if when Chai asked Roquefort why he’d want to be less smart is him being a smartass, a dumbass, or both. Either way, it’s completely in character with him.
Future tech baby! I don't know. Maybe somehow they managed to make components that can fit in a very unbelievably small space of mass. Game and just animation logic, we don't f'ing know
I think Roguefort was inspired by hulk and Obadiah Stane at the same time (you are making me angry thing from hulk and armour mechanism from Stane. I think it's really cool
The Big Bad Wolf Attack minigame was not working for me I came to see if it was the same for anyone else. I even checked this video for the timing but I could see mine was broken, the notes were disappearing well before they reached the bar, soi the syn was completely off, I wish Geforce Experience was working to prove it
