I totally get what you are going through. I went through a string of losses myself for a while, but as you mentioned God is there. As I look back, I was angry at the time and questioning. It all makes sense now and life has done a 180 for me. Prayers to you & your husband- you too will make it through.

I'm 54, and feel that every year is a blessing and another chance to celebrate the life God has given me. I would be happy to see your weekly updates, however that looks to you. When my husband lost his job a year ago, it was definitely hard, but led to new jobs ultimately for both of us. Learning to be patient with God's timing is always a challenge. I totally agree with you. My goal is to have a small closet of clothes that works well for my body and is of a good quality. I'm also conscientiously choosing more classic styles and fabrics that will last. I have found some great pieces from Walmart, but the majority of their items just don't last a few washings and the really good items from this retailer are sold out so quickly. I am a walker/hiker as well and live on an island in the Pacific Northwest. That being said, I want to start traveling but need the courage to do it alone. You are such a good human being. We all have stuff going on that no one else knows is happening. I love watching you do whatever you do, and I always think of you with good thoughts. You love clothes, and you love the outdoors. I'd love to see some of the things you see on your walks. I was about to get engaged when suddenly my guy had a massive stroke. I chose to move him and his service dog, in with me to make sure he was in a healing and healthy environment. Which means I can't work. I cook him real food 3 times a day... and drive him to his various appointments and therapies. He has lost over 90 lbs and is off all medications for diabetes and high blood pressure. He has regained the ability to walk and his speech is improving. It's almost two years later and my focus has obviously changed. I love my RU-vid watch time but when life gets real like this, I tend to keep my comments in my head. I still buy exclusively from thrift stores, Thread-Up, eBay and Facebook Marketplace...and I get dressed every day to keep my attitude and spirits up. I'm up for whatever you get yourself into and I promise to re-start commenting and actively supporting whatever comes across your channel. Knock and the door shall be opened. Don't forget to ask God for help and guidance with the expectation that it shall be delivered.

What a fabulous and refreshing video! My husband went through a very similar job situation...I was heartbroken for him. He too was such a loyal and hard working man. Being a stay at home mom, at the time, I can relate to the financial aspect as well. Through it all our Lord protected, provided and blessed us. Like you, God's Word was and is my daily treasure. 47 here and proud of it! I had a terrible few years with autoimmune disease that I've got into remission (with the carnivore diet). I look and feel better than really any time in my life. My husband's company is in chapter 11 and he could lose his job of 20 years any day. We too have been leaning on the faithfulness of God and trying to be open to wherever He may lead. I think our country and economy are in trouble. Reminding myself daily to stay faithful even if things get bleak. Proud of you.

The endless pushing of products on sites such as TikTok. I am 51 years old and all about positive, peace and honesty. We are in a world of a lot of young influencers. So many ungodly idols. There is a lack of content from us older people. I think your idea of weekly blogs sounds great. Most importantly you need to do what brings you peace and happiness. Geez Kate! I can so relate! I lost my job in the same way your husband did! No signs.. nothing! At the end of the month .. no insurance nothing! This was several years ago.. and like you said it was traumatic for me.. it broke my spirit and made me feel no confidence in myself for awhile! and we had to use all my 401k to live on til other things started happening.. had been at the law firm I was at for several years and for no reason they left me go! It all worked out in the end here about 15 years later but it was devastating! I love what you are going to talk about out.. I myself lost 80 pounds and I will turn 69 in July! I tried to start my channel on weight loss and some other things but I just don’t know how to reach others.. I also don’t have much equipment.. I love that you are praying and looking to God! We sure need to! I believe most of us are stressed out just with the state of everything right now! It’s so overwhelming.. we need prayers and God more than ever my friend! 😊🙏🏻

Hi I am making this comment about half way through the video. I still need to finish the video. Just want to say I also live extremely remotely. It’s hard for me to find fashion that makes me look curated, professional, clean, and creative. Living remotely is extremely beautiful… and also difficult when it comes to shopping and finding clothes that fit. Yes, that fit. I’m also petite so I need to trust the brand, quality is a major deal, and price. Same with me. I don’t spend like crazy. I love to work and bring in income but I am careful with what I bring home. Keep going with your videos. Launching anything off the ground is difficult. As a business owner myself, I cry every now and then until I learned it will always be hard. Never will get easier. So keep going, ask yourself what your why is? Your why behind the camera matters.

I'm in the medical field and is funny how I am shifting my thinking. We change our thinking as we experience and knowest things no longer align with us and it's okay we grow. I am 45 now pursuing a different career, something that will give me the time you speak off. I do enjoy your content. I am fairly new as I started researching natural fiber clothes.i don't thing jealousy is the correct word you should be saying, because what happen to you. I think that comparing yourself to others is the issue. No one is doing what your doing self retracting your prior habits and reshaping how you think. Enjoy your walks enjoy your hubby, life is beautiful. I will continue to watch your videos.
Your journey is your journey. But none of us have ultimate control of it, we are given gifts for us to use, sometimes we see a loss instead. I am glad you see what you have been given, even if it didn't seem like a gift at the time. Your thoughts and feelings are normal and nothing to be ashamed of. I have CF, but did well for a long time, but went through alot. I am a physician and oddly CF has been my biggest gift. I need a double lung transplant and will probably lose my beloved job because I am so immunocompromised that I can't see patients in person anymore and my job has a budget deficit. So the writing is on the wall. Unlike your husband, I know it's coming, but I have no idea what I am going to do. I literally live for my patients. No one is going to hire anyone on 8 liters of oxygen. It's really hard having faith and trusting in the journey. I can't imagine what you and your husband are going through. I know you are stronger than you think and younger than you believe. You are a beautiful woman and soul. Just keep going one day at a time ❤

There's a large target audience of women over 45 -we are out here living our best life and proud of our age. I like to see lifestyle blogs, cooking, grocery hauls, workouts etc. You could always try to tap into those topics. ❤❤❤
To put things in perspective, think about a successful TV show. All the people and time that it takes to produce a half hour long show. They do not film year round. They film 10 or 15 episodes and then stop until the next season. Most RU-vidrs are a 1 person show. It has to be hard to maintain that level of energy and creativity each week or every two weeks or once a month. How ever often you create content and post. Life is ever moving and evolving. Audience’s interest shift. Maybe they age out as they mature. There are so many factors. Just think of all the actors that have to reinvent themselves after a show ends…Seinfeld, Friends, 90210, etc. Give yourself sometime to adjust and move forward. I actually thought you were going to say you are becoming a photographer and selling your photos. They were beautiful…..
Wow, I'm in, (not to sound trite) and I will be very interested (even though you are younger than I am...how I would LOVE to be 47 again) to see you progress through this time in your life/lives. I am a Christian also and I will say that I have been through some pretty tough trials in my life too but if we can just come out better than we went in, it's worth it. But it's dawned on me that he was clearing everything out in order to pull me in, and by doing that, he prepared me for all of this. I would be sinking if it weren't for the scriptures and lessons he put on my heart over the past year, especially. So I LOVE the idea of incorporating scripture into my channel! I know there are mixed opinions about AI but I don't see how it couldn't eliminate jobs for people. In a way, we've seen what automation has done for so many different industries. I understand a company's desire for efficiency, but do they understand the long-term consequences of choosing automation over human craftsmanship? I suppose the intention is telling. Are you trying to simply streamline processes by utilizing AI to complement your workforce, or are you being driven by your bottom line? It's crazy to think of AI influencers, but I am definitely suspect of a few nature-inspired IG accounts pushing AI generated content. It bothers me... xx

Honestly I have grown a bit tired of the videos that promote buying the latest and greatest. I don’t want to feel that I need to keep up with anyone else’s life. In my experience when a change occurred it meant that I was ready for the next challenge and it was even better and more fitting for my life.
