When I was five my Daddy took me down to Easter Road He lifted me up high upon his shoulder Hibernian! And he told me when he watched the Hibs he never felt the cold And I know what he meant when I got older Hail or snow or thunderstorms I'd go Hi-Bee Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Every week rain or shine, win or lose or draw We'd go and see the Hibees play together Hibernian! And I cried my eyes out once or twice when they cancelled 'cause of snow I'd have had them play in any weather Hail or snow or thunderstorms I'd go Hi-Bee Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Oh the green and white, the white and green the only team for me I've always been a Hibernian soldier Hibernian! And I'll take my kids, like my Dad did, to Easter Road one day To see the only team that's worth supporting Hibernian Hail or snow or thunderstorms I'd go Hi-Bee Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian Hibernian Hi-Bee Hibernian
I still remember how i became fan of Hibs, 20 years ago i was new in Edinburgh and my work mate's asked me what team u support and i said i don't know and they asked me are you Christian and i said yes im Catholic and they said Oh Hibs supported and since then i have been HIBEE 😊
My dad died at the Dundee away game on the 9th of May 2010. I’m just starting to come back. We were at every single home game that he could take us too! Maybe someone here will remember us. Fitzpatrick. It’s took a long time to heal my heart but I’m now planning on bringing my kids through Easter Roads doors 💚
The first time this song ever blazed out of the Easter Road tannoy would have been just before kick off on Saturday 13/08/1988 for the opening game of the season against Motherwell in a game that Hibernian won 1-0 with an 85th minute Tommy McIntyre header.
my late husband mark Antony Turner was a true hibbes fan he died 8th of October 2011 he would have been proud of the hibbes I think he look down on them yesterday
We may no have won the final but he have the faith that Hearts dinnae have and am proud to be a Hibee! Win loose or draw we willstay loyal to the first to wear green and first in hoops for that matter! GGTTH 3
Has anyone on here got a Clydesdale Bank Scottish Football League Review 1981-82 and 1983-84 in great condition they would part with? Need these two to complete my collection.
Hibs get their name from the Latin for Ireland, Hibernian. Just like Scotland is Caledonia and England is Anglia. Hence the Angles and Caledonian people, I think we've all learned something today.
