Hibiki's Transformation | Symphogear XV 

0:52 The sequence of her gauntlets being enormous and then compressing into her fists' sizes is awesome. It shows all the raw strength she is capable of in a single attack. She literally "packs a punch".

Everyone Else: Lets do some fancy twirling and pole dancing. Hibiki: Gotta practice my Heavy Fist Kata and get my Kamen Rider Scarf ready for some face beating.

I would like to point out, that the animators have changed the gear and transformation sequence as well as their converters throughout the series. Which I find amazing, it's as if they're showing us the characters development through their geaar.

Dat henshin sequence. Pure bliss. And also, a wink to the first season, such a dedication and homeage.

Got to say, School girls magically transforming to fight giant robots sounds like the most normal thing possible in an anime..............until it seems that the magic is powered by singing!?!?!

XV probably has the best transformations. Of the S1 trio each one gives off a vibe of some kind of combat art being bajiquan, swordsmanship and marksmanship. Of the S2 squad there are various forms of dance you have Ribbon Dancing, Figure Skating, and Pole Dancing.

The transformation scenes just keep getting better and better 😍

This is song is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of Hibiki's Transformations! It goes SO HARD!

God there ate so many little callbacks in this transformation. From the season 1 transformation to biki breaking her heels.

Out of all the Symphogears, Hibiki fighting style is probably my favorite. Nothing too flashy, just Hibiki getting up close with her bare fist.

Great transformation. Can’t wait see Chris new transformation. They always show off her big guns.

This show is so fantastic, in no small part because its protagonist is a lesbian bajiquan-using magical girl, which you just never get to see anywhere else.

I can see a lot of references to previous seasons The first sequence with the silhouette and the equalizers is clearly taken from the first season The gold rings and the serial number of each gear can be a reference to AXZ (by the way my favorite sequences ever) The hexagons splitting and turning into the armor pieces is a reference to GX I can't tell any G reference, but overall this sequence is a mashup of memories (that could be the name of a song)

Once again, the universe is telling me to watch Symphogear.

Anyone else just _love_ how, in the final season, the transformations reference the ones in the first season?

You know what I actually love Symphogear’s spin on the Illuminati. That’s what makes stand out even more than other anime’s.

I keep coming back to watch this both for the transformation and the singing. Oh and of course the fighting. This season is gonna be lit 🔥

My guess is that aside from the first season, they Easter egg'd the other seasons as well. SZS: The equalizer, which was the characteristic of that season's transformation. SZS G: IMO the formation/materialization of the gauntlets and boots pre-stomp. Although in XV it's more dynamic. SZS GX: The Symphogear module on the back (//slapped) SZS AXZ: I'm guessing the showcase of her martial prowess from the end of AXZ's transformation but with more finesse. Also, for those who play the Symphogear XDU mobile game, there is a subtle reference to Edgy Bikki from the X-Drive Miku event! :D Also hey! Our lovable hamster girl has evolved from delivering a single punch in the First Season to a full blown Martial Arts demonstration! I proud of her.

I've seen Mobile games collab with this but I've never really paid attention to it reminds me of that old game series ar tonlica or something where music/singing is turned into strength might give this a watch seeing as I'm low on anime to watch now haha.

The best way to describe Hibiki Tachibana is she's basically Eiji Hino/Kamen Rider OOO with the personality of Gentaro Kisaragi/Kamen Rider Fourze

In the lore of the series, there are actually two types of weilders, Type 1 is a weilder who can use their relic naturally without any artificial way to force their bodies into syncing with the gear. Like Tsubasa, Chris, and Serena. Type 2 weilders can't naturally sync with any relics, so they use the LiNKER injections to help ease the stress from the gear and allow them to use them in the first place. Maria, Kirika, Shirabe, and Miku are Type 2 weilders. But now I wonder, what type is Hibiki? Would she be a Type 1 because of her not needing to use LiNKER, or is she a Type 2 because of her being merge with Gungnir for 2 years before ever using it. Or could she even be a Type like a 3rd type? Perhaps originally not capable of using a gear until her long dormant merging with Gungnir, causing her to become able to weilding it. It could be why she could never fully summon her gear's orginiel armed gear.

There needs to be more magical girl shows like this. Not with pretty girls using cutesy magic and wearing cute frilly dresses, but badass warrior girls wielding mighty weapons wearing futuristic armor

This has always been one of those guilty pleasure shows for me lol

i know there gears fuse to there bodies but they all have rocket boosters i guess singing is all a fuel for the fire
