Wow, it’s been 17 years of this intro here, time goes fast.. I was playing being a kid, for now I could also launch it still having the CD. I’d like to experience again these days when life was no that serious and your only commitment was to wake up to the school. After playing some games spending time with the family, mostly parents and grandparents. That’s sad it will never go back. I’m really interested in the Second World War history, that was a pleasure for me to play in H&D.
One of the best intros ever, this game was really ahead of its time the graphics were awesome, weapon and uniform choice was great. This game was actually in the top ten sales a few months back even after all these years. Will there ever be a H&D 3 ??
Hey did you noticed the sounds of shooting and screaming Germans at 2:20 is actually from Band of Brothers, when they set an ambush on that horse-drawn carriage with soldiers? Check it and let me know ;)
One of the best games i ever played! Nice memories! It has such a nice concept! With a squad , choice your equipments! you can play stealth , reach higher ranks , your abilitys are getting higher (depends on how you play) ~~Good teamwork!!~~ If they make something like this again it wil be so great!~~ like Hidden and dangerous 3
Whenever i played this, it always reminded me of like a ww2 version of splinter cell, the fact you could sneak up behind enemies, and knife them quietly or make them surrender and go under-cover as an enemy soldier to make the mission/s easier and the voice acting was really good too :3
This game is so ahead of it's time. I've looked at a lot of games that have just recently come out and they still don't measure up to this game. And this is just part 2. I haven't even played part 3 yet.
The scenery used in the trailer/intro turned out to be a part of Warsaw. Interestingly enough, SAS has never been deployed in Poland during World War II which is one of the liberties in historical accuracy of this game, however the game itself is really great and is kind of historically accurate but not always.
@@hrafnkellorrirastarson7544 Hard to say, but there are mods that add extra maps to multiplayer and there is a map named "poland" or "warsaw" and certain part of it contains that building which is used in the intro
@@p13k4r3 that kind of building was built all around east countries. Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary. Its a typical architecture for this region. So maybe it wasnt specificly Warsaw
@@patrikmalory Yeah, you are completely right. However P13K4R points at one of Multiplayer mods which add map named "Warsaw" and is made of 4 roads and large building in the centre of map and when you enter courtyard, it looks exactly the same as shown in the trailer, with large hole in ground.
Most definately agreed mate...solid tactical game, with RPG elements, and alot of strategic thinking....wish they would make a remake! This game just "had a right feel to it"!
I'm just replaying this after a gap of several years. This used to be my favourite game - and I've played quite a few since the early nineties... However for the newbies I recommend playing on default keyboard settings and just spending a few hours getting used to it. This game will repay every hour you spend learning it. It is an absolute gem!!!

it's m'y favorite game on pc. I will go to redo for the 8th this game at Lvl4 of difficulty. I invit u to watch my progression of this game very realist. it's à very game who represent good the second war world
It's seems they have a PhysX license now. I still hope they'll have an engine which allows you to have really big maps, with a billboard 2D system like Speedtree. A free-roaming first-person shooter where you have to sneak your way in a huge sandbox and be gone before the enemy realizes what happens.
That name was so unfittingly hilarious. Gathering presents. Instead of "This company presents" it became a birthday mission "Objective, gathering presents. Locate and extract Tommy Lingdon's toy train". I laughed so damn much when that popped up.
Epic game forger call of duty etc. The detail in this game in unreal, weapons, movements, tactical commands. Its all there. They clearly done there reasearch on British army during certain campaigns. Brilliant they should do another.
... actually, I just found out that the developers are working on a WWIII title called "Enemy in Sight". The huge european battle fields will be based on real digital terrain mapping data. Sounds impressive but I hope it has the elements we loved about H&D.
I am thankful that 'Enemy in Sight' was cancelled. Part of the charm of H&D was the fact that you played as British Commandos, not the *YAWN* US Rangers or *MASSIVE YAWN* US 101st Airborne. Hidden and Dangerous 3 is what we want; they could make such a good game with all the tech that has come out since H&D2. I always dreamed of your men being able to execute knife moves in nice fluid motions, like in Splinter Cell.
Yeah, it is, but i have never understood what they were doing on this mission. They turn up, kick the door in, find nothing, ambushed by the nazis, they kick their arse and then leg it. I'm probably being really dense, but any ideas Why?
What would they else buy meqon physics engine for and tell everybody it's going to be in one of their sequels, meqon specializes in car deformation physics and some other sweet things ^^. I found other clues but i dont remember them. anyways, you can be pretty sure there will be a mafia 2 and h&d3
i just got the game and i just installed it too but now whenever i try to start it, it just doesn't simply start. It's possibly because i'm running windows 7 64 bit, i updated my game to version 1.12 so i dont know what's wrong, can someone please help?
I love this game sooo much! And I also love the music because it's very epic. But the German version is heavily censored! :( But I still fuckin' love it :)
