I’d like to point out that the duck not having organs was the result of episode 5 of the RU-vid series when his organs were pulled out and fed to the yellow guy

This episode is a reality on what pet owners tend to do. Replace their pet that passed away with another pet only to compare the new pet to the old pet

It’s important to know that in the last episode referenced this. When “She” is playing with a set of toys of the group the duck doll falls over and brakes the Yellow Guy asks if it’s a bother. To which he is told that the doll can be replaced after showing him a whole bunch of duck dolls. This further proves how expendable they really are.

I like how this episode points out that not everyone deals with loss the same. Red guy tries to move on immediately by replacing Duck while Yellow guy is unable to move on and becomes disoriented when Duck is even slightly refranced.

“The original is lost to time forever”. Episode 6 seems to go against this; we see a Duck figure in Lindsey’s model house be broken and replaced, and he maintains his memories through it all, suggesting that the characters’ consciousness are merely transferred into new bodies. Lindsey enforces a strict status quo, resetting the world between each episode, so the Blob Duck would just go back to being a block of clay anyway.

I'm pretty sure it was the original duck that killed the new one, he's the one who suggested they let the new guy join before changing his mind Edit: And also, it was "David" who was supposed to die, not the duck, that's why there were people mourning "David" who didn't know the duck

Honestly I thought the OG one killed the New one: OG was with Yellow and the New one was with Red, and Yellow had the shovel to dig out OG. The duck says he "changed his mind" about there being two of them as a reason why he killed the other, and OG was the one to suggest they go along with it in the first place. Besides, the New duck barely accepted being the duck, and to me it doesn't make sense to take the OG's place by killing him if the New one didn't want to be the duck in the first place.

Doesn't matter if the new duck killed the original. As we learn in later episodes that everything is reset for the next episode, no matter where they are or in what state they are in. So original duck would have been reset back.

I think the new duck was the one that was killed, because if you listen closely in Electricity when Yellow Guy is walking towards the stairs you can hear Red Guy and Duck talk about a blob who turned into Duck (Duck says "oh yeah, he turned into me"). Lesley also confirms that she regularly kills and replaces all three of them, meaning death has no actual meaning to Duck or his friends. The maggots were just to make the imagery more disturbing, or maybe Stain copied Duck so accurately that he even copied the maggots.

I think is actually the old one who killed the new duck because the old duck's organs were removed and when the new one died it had organs

I didn't even notice the first time I watched that it was the original Duck Guy who died! I look forward to your next videos on this, I imagine the rest of the episodes will have just as much to discuss!

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 6 I haven't seen a lot of people mention this but in the episode 6 when yellow guy helps Leslie ( that creepy Human woman) with cleaning everything up. Yellow guy puts the duck figure in the house but the ducks head falls off. Then Leslie replaces the broken duck with another one saying " I've got backups" so yeah this probably comfirms that the og duck died in episode 2.

I'm sure it was the mold that was killed by Duck and not the other way around. Based on the positions of them before the new version if the opening and the position when the killing happens, it seems to imply that Duck just didn't like the idea of sharing his position in the group.

The fake mourners that show up look an awful lot like the ‘family’ of the next and it made me think that they could be extending the ideas of the ‘family’ episode into this one with the people who don’t really know duck showing up at his funeral like a family is supposed to and not leaving room for the found family who actually cared and were there for duck to deal with his death

I think the orginal duck was the one that survived because when he cuts his finger at the start, its just air. But when stains head gets cut off its blood. I am aware about the maggots but i think my point is valid.

I'll be honest, I straight up didn't realise that it was the fake Duck Guy who killed the original - I assumed it was the original who killed the replacement. Good job I watched this, or I would've missed that completely.

The last two episode actually recontextualize this one with the information that it really doesn't matter who dies or if the three manage to escape because Leslie can always reset time.

Oh GOD... Thanks for clearing up the duck murder part, as I remembered the "original duck" being on the left side of the screen, but the maggots confirm maximum disturbance of this scene that duck truly died again, LOL! 😆

I knew the duck guy died, but I didn't notice the maggots. I just noticed he had an actual neck to him. When he see the blob, it has no limbs, no bones. It's a Something. Red guy had to barely remember the duck had a bill, I doubt he would've remembered to stuff that blob with what makes an actual body....he did feather him though.

I think the old one killed the new one because he suggests there be 4 but then changes his mind and cuts the new ones head off. also you see the guts spilling out of the severed neck but duck had his removed before he was buried. plus throughout the next few episodes duck acts like duck not the pink blob (pink sauce)

The one thing I will say about this episode is that it's totally possible to mourn someone you've never met. Technoblade, a very famous youtuber, died back in June, and a lot of his fanbase (including myself) are still dealing with that loss.

also, the mold isn't Duck throughout the rest of the series because "she" most likely replaced him with a proper duck later down the line.

My theories; This episode represents how Lesley had to deal with the death of her son, David. Just like YG unearthed Duck, Lesley once unearthed her son to bring him back to live as YG who later was used by Roy. Also it could be that we are The Council that The Lamp mentions.

The globe also explains that its theory of when you die is that you go to the middle of the earth, and spend your days reliving your life for the entertainment of a higher council. I thought it was the new one who killed the old one because the new one was shorter, and he continued to look shorter than the old one throughout the episode. He's clearly shorter than the yellow guy whereas the original Duck was at least as tall as the Yellow guy.

Actually there is a whole drawer full of Ducks. There is always a spare even when his head falls off in the smaller version. Neither Duck in episode 2 was likely to be the original incarnation of him but each one has as much right to the identity as they are all spares.

There’s no way to tell whether the clone or the original duck was the one who died. Crazy stuff

I'm not sure about who killed who honestly, there's enough evidence backing up either way, but someone pointed out under another video that in episode 6 Red Guy mentions in a muffled conversation the pink blob and Duck says something along the lines of "yeah that did turn into me". Imo there's not really a way of knowing since they obviously just wanted to confuse us. But then again it's true that in that same episode we learn that they're all replaceable so it's not like it really matters

However in this circumstance death is valuable because it's part of the program. Somebody is an artificial intelligence, and their personality is fractured into all the students on the show - red, yellow, duck. And then, the personality is backed up into thousands of copies all ready to go like stain Edwards the forever boy. Each backup copy base slightly different than the other ones, but they're all playing the same scenario. The ones that die are culled, and the survivors become the new template for new backups. It's evolution. Survival of the fittest. A very powerful tool, but also somewhat blind. I mean, there's a blood vessel in the giraffe that is ridiculous.

One thing that I disagree on is the show trying to state that there's nothing after death and everything thing we come up with is just a way to coap. The lamp even says nobody knows what happens when we die when talking to yellow guy. The show never really seems to head in any direction when talking about what happens after just seems to suggest many ideas and never follow up on them because nobody does know what happens truly. But art is subjective in nature so any interpretation is technically correct

Also, Remember how the note pad told Yellow that Green is not a creative color after he chose Green as his favorite color? I feel like you're way too confident about what happens after people die when science as we know it is only a few hundred years old if even that!!! And Weird things happen sometimes that make no sense at all in science such as paranormal experiences. On top of this I'd like to quote Einstein in saying it is better to be an Optimist and be wrong than a pessimist and be right. Besides that I may have seen my dead great grandmother face to face and given that science hasn't explained such phenomena yet you can neither confirm nor refute that what I say is true.
