A very useful feature in our usual summer heatwaves in the UK!! you can press & hold the unlock button & the windows go down before you have to get in so letting out the hot air.
Also - When you enter the car and get in, prior to starting you place your fob in.. Your cars sidelights will come on, if for whatever reason you want your full headlights to come on without starting the engine then simply HOLD the start engine button for a few seconds, this will also allow the heating to work without the engine engaged as well
@@klr142 Nobody is saying otherwise, I assume you can see something I can't in the comment?? The youtuber asked if there was anything else - I'm saying what he didn't
When you get out the car, lock it and are half way up your drive - You suddenly realise that you've left the windows down.... What shall we do?! Okay, so instead of just quickly pressing the lock key on the fob, try holding it for 3-4 seconds, this will then automatically put all open windows into the fully shut and locked position as well as locking the car :)
@@edvinas8621 and Vauxhall does this even on like 96 cars with or without a key fob, just turn the key in the lock and hold it there and the windows go up 🙂
I myself knew about the wipers and their service mode and the folding of the mirrors but no the angling of them, but you can also choose to activate the folding when you lock the car in the vehicle settings menu so that every time you lock it the mirrors fold and when you unlock it they fold back out again
Yes that’s a pretty standard thing and I believe the car will do it without changing anything but it’s worth noting if one gets stuck so you can turn it off so it won’t try to fold back in once you’ve got it folded out.
Found another nice thing by my self. I got automatic, I guess it will work with the manual as well. When reverse are in and you shall do a reverseparking and your sidemirrors are perfect for road but you are not seeing correctly when parking. Then press L or R and each mirror will automatically adjust into parkingmode. Press L or R or put P or D in and the mirrors adjusts to where it was before parking. Neat little trick.
@@Necronomous , it is called something like "mirror tilt" in the menu, it is not that obvious what it does, you can set the function on each mirror separately. With my car I found the angle was too steep and I lost view of behind the car. The tilting action is also slow in both directions and I found it more distracting than useful.
@@g0fvt Ok, well I only use 1 mirror tilted and one straight when I rreversing the car. As a truckdriver I am used to see lines and shit, which I only can do in a truckmirror.
Hi, I just bought a 2013 XC70 Premier Plus and it’s missing some things that I feel like it should have. Are these all extra packages: Folding mirrors BLIS I have the PCC remote but no remote start.
The rearview mirrors moving to point down when you put it in reverse is a programmable setting on at least the 2014+ cars. There may or may not have been a software update to earlier cars that allows this to be user programmable as well, but I don't know. Cool on the follow me home feature. I have settings in my 2014 for how long it lasts but didn't know how to activate it. Thanks!
For follow me home lights do you have to pull indicatior stalk everytime you turn the engine off or do you pull stalk once and it permanently leave follow home lights on everytime you turn off engine and lock car ?
You know, the are not hidden features. They can be found in the owner’s manual. I recommend taking some time reading it. It can be fun discovering stuff that your car has and you just cannot see.
@@firstnamelastname6193 I don’t see why you have a problem with my comment. I really apreciate DriveLife Channel and all of his work, but what i was trying to actually say is that those things are not hidden ,but they are for everyone to see.And all of them in the owner’s manual. There are plenty more.I discovered lots of stuff that really helped and made my driving more fun. Like on the xc90 for example...the side mirrors don’t defeost by themselves like in the s80.I have friends that did not knew that. How to initiate auto door locking and many more.
I have issue with my volvo, doors are closed but on dash screen shows its its open somethimes it's disappear and with locking problem is there any whey to fix it?
Hi I'm just want to ask you if u know about my issue have same volvo s80 and when I drive upto 40 mph the engine switch off so need to stop and start the engine again and then working again this happens only when the car slow down all lights stays on but the engine switch off any idea pls thanks
this has worked on every Volvo i've owned= '07 S80 3.2 / '11 S60 t6 and '12 V60 t4. Judging by some comments here Volvo can be quite random in their software; my '12 V60 will do the manual side mirror tricks but there is no Sensus facility to auto-fold mirrors when parking yet there is in the S80 and S60.
@@vincentchin88 My 2010 got the feature. Just enter the car. Put in the fob, press Start/Stop for 3 seconds so the checklights shows in the console. That means you got your cars electricity on. No feets on brake, because then the car will start. Then press Read once on the side, then you can use the wheel to check engineoil level and some other stuff.
Did you crash a tiger 2 with your front bumper? What else could crash a Volvo bumper? 😳 Sorry for bad English, Volvo greatings from Austria. Edit. It's triggering so hard you sit on the other side 😳
Our family has now had 4 Volvos with non-leather seats & every one of them has had a crack or split in one of the squabs. When I told Volvo UK they said they had never heard of it. Maybe it's me. Note to self, buy one with leather seats next time you idiot.
