Fantastic, i thought it would be a long time yet until Kirby was back out visiting artisans. The silver looks great, its easy to see why it was so popular in 18th century dress.
Lolly, I find your work so very beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with another Texas girl trying her hand at silversmithing. Hugs hon.
I've completely stopped wearing belts in favor of braces, but this is some beautiful work indeed. I feel like the perceived formality of an item like this is highly dependent on local culture. This feels more like a southern thing to me, but I might be showing my sartorial ignorance here too. There are a few more casual outfits inspired by some of Alan Flusser's lookbooks that I was thinking about adding back into my wardrobe, which use a belt.
@@Jim58223 Yes exactly. I feel like people make it a point to use the British term "braces" instead of "suspenders" in order to distinguish them from the clip-on kind
@@Huffman_Tree Yeah, when I think braces I think buttons and button tabs. I too, much prefer them to belts. They're just better for a dozen different reasons lol.
Amazing! Great to see such beautiful artisanal work that is so unique! Will check out th e site and pick one up. Nice to have a one of a kind item to wear! Thanks!!
Hi Kirby - love the content. Just wondering what had happened to all of the quarantine livestreams? Had wanted to go back to relive a couple but can’t find them on the channel. Wondering if they’re permanently deleted or only unavailable in the UK for some reason?
Jeeves: Shall I lay out one of your novelty handkerchiefs for you today, Sir? Bertie: Oh, come off it, Jeeves! Everyone wears things with initials on them nowadays. Jeeves: I thought the practice was restricted to those who were in danger of forgetting their names, Sir.
After watching this, I think you'd be able to make some great content with Josh Smith of the Montana Knife Company. He is a master smith and a very talented knife maker.
It's a good video. The framing between the artist sitting and the interviewer standing was awkward. More close-ups of the artists hands at work, would be appreciate. The artist story, skill, and product is top notch. 👌
