hack feels very situational now. most of the time feels like it's better to just virus > shoot

Whenever I play sombra now my tf2 spy instincts kick in, causing paranoia sometimes I have ppl switch to mei and it acts as a pyro spy check

playing any support without survivability gonna be hell against this, it's gonna end with zen having like a fortify or something I swear lol

Havent played in years, but the support camping seems like an even easier thing to do. As a former support/sombra main, thats horrifying and awesome!

I spawn camped supports, genji's and hanzo's all day yesterday. They weren't happy to say the least. Her 1v1 has win potential has definitely increased at least for me. I also noticed, that many support players are not healing Sombra's, perhaps due to the new mechanics of her being more frontline and they aren't used to it?

My opinion of the matter if they were to buff sombra (which i think they will based on their past) is that they give her movement back from invis or tp gives a temporary movement buff when using it. Dmg increase on her already bursty kit is already at the tip and any increase would lead to her be opressive and busted.

i like the new sombra but emp just feels unimpactful for anything other than solo kills. I hope they consider increased hack duration from emp only or something.

The funniest thing is that the night before the new season went live I was playing Sombra and not letting the enemy team have fun, as usual, and one of them actually said, "I can't wait for the new Sombra rework". I bet he's regretting saying that now. 😂

I know Fitzy said he preferred not having to rebind abilities, but swapping Virus and Hack's binds made hitting the virus much easier. And with Hack being more situational and requiring little aim, I don't really need it on the mouse anyway.

fact virus projectile speed is just a bit higher than sym orb speed (51 m/s compared to 50 m/s) if wanna train accuracy on it maybe can play some more sym with orbs

with the removal of opportunist, thoughts on locking out abilities for longer when hacked? Or at least for EMP? Not the full duration like OW1 but watching a full 5-man EMP do absolutely nothing is a bit of a tell.

Sombra’s kit feels rlly fun to play, but EMP has so little impact now. Feel they should revert EMP to its ow1 version (having it do no dmg and instead be an aoe 7 sec ability lock out) that way she’d at least have impact and utility again.

Feel like emp is a bit underwhelming now. Maybe if they had just emp hack do opportunist so you could get some kills

also my only thing is, why even make the hack only 2 seconds still with such a long cooldown per person, if we no longer get the damage bonus? it feels like they removed more than they needed to and pigeonholed her playstyle far away from what it used to be but not committing to it fully, we no longer get dmg bonus but hack only lasts 2 seconds, so playing for hacks off team isn't as effective, but going for solokills is entirely pigeonholed around the virus the hack only quickens the speed of damage, which can be useful but oftentimes the time to hack results in you taking damage or the hack ending, so it's an entirely nonimportant part of the kit, even healthpacks being hacked isn't as useful as it lasts shorter due to sombra ow2 rework, but now due to this one you don't have translocator as it used to be so having a hacked healthpack provides slightly less value, you have to make the conscious effort that that is your escape path and mid fight before dying you have to move your cursor to the quickest path there and then throw translocator, entirely lengthening the process, all in all I love the rework, I just wish the devs were a little more brave about it, they did well but removed/kept features that were defunct after their changes, it has major potential.

First off sick thumbnail. Secondly I'm still not used to her going invis on her own so I tend to hit virus to go invis

I feel like the virus should be a special case for the DoT abilities concerning health packs. Like grabbing some health doesn't cleanse the virus; just heals the damage it did. It feels like it should be a status effect that causes damage over time; like Junker Queen's jagged blade.

Wish you could still destroy your translocator before you teleport, or have a way to teleport early. I feel like it lost a lot of nuance in that instance with me (loved throwing it above the enemy team and then just emping the front line without even using it, maybe using it when they forgot about it)

If you know your map layout its so easy to get a support kill and run away.

I'm not a Sombra main, simply a person who always liked her and played her from time to time. I don't think I like the rework and I probably won't play her as much anymore. But I'm glad others like it.

Quick question: Why does he use the new ultimate offensively, when he could potentially cancel three ults from the enemy team? The ult doesn't give damage buff anymore, right?

I feel like Virus could be a tiny bit faster in terms of travel speed (not instant of course) seems fairly easy to dodge even accidentally.

The Mercy used super jump too much, she should have stayed with her bap cuz he can heal her easiest while on the ground.

I'm trying to break my habit of always hacking people first, it's not really necessary all the time like it used to and quite a few times it fucks me up

playing Mercy most of the time as healer really sucks against Sombra or Tracer specially when teammates never look behind

Obv I'm sure high level sombras are more annoying, but as a gold mercy main I've yet to have troubles with sombra. I can kinda just ignore her after she hacks me. It might be bc I have good movement and can dodge virus (my only skill in video games is movement) but idk. I'd like to hear what other support mains of various ranks think. ML says its easier to counter her on support.

The immediate stealth after throwing translocator is actually bs. Her cooldowns are also super fast. I like the general idea of her intended new playstyle but they need to tune the numbers

Sombra feels so bad in damage when you don’t hit the cube.. I always do so good as Sombra but I’ll be lucky to not have the least dmg in the dps group.. I provide utility but people will still say dps diff🤦

Man, watching Fitzy trying to make Sombra work just hurts, even Zen would have no problem dealing with new sombra, her translocator is so telegraphed now, any good player that has a movement ability can easily chase her down just like that, she's like a worst soldier with the ability to hack, and even then it's better to use your virus than hacking moat of the time. The only silver lining to all of this is that I don't main sombra so it doesnt matter to me, just feel bad for sombra mains out there, your character pretty much is the roadhog of dps, unless it's like a dude like cyx using him, you're better off using another dps. 😂

countering mercy players and annoying them and pissing them off to point where they stop healing and dmg boosting people to whip their pistol out to chase me around the map only to die to me in 1.5 seconds is now my favorite thing to do in ow2.

Fitzy plays really cool but so boring to watch him. Jay 3 is fun

I feel like if they just tweaked translocator to keep going until it hits something or the floor and then auto teleports, plus give you the option to activate it at anytime it is flying through the air, it would make her feel much smoother and less frantic to play. It just feels like too short of a tp distance by just a tiny bit. That way you keep the ability to chase her as it's still not that far plus you get some agency back with your skills.
