About NTT Pro Cycling
Founded in 2007, NTT Pro Cycling (formerly Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka) became the first-ever African cycling team to gain a WorldTour license, in 2016. With the support of our headline sponsor and technology innovation partner, NTT, we are the most purpose-driven, performance-led, and technology-enabled team in pro cycling today. We also ride to raise awareness for Qhubeka, a global charity operating in South Africa, through our #BicyclesChangeLives campaign.

Hello Victor, can you explain the way you drink the Red Bull when you have done the World Hour Record?

about dead spot, high cadence, smooth pedal stroke, etc... what do you think of oval rings ? do you actually have some choice about this specs or do you need to say the one the sponsor gives you is the best ? thanks :)

What I have understood from many videos on the matter, i s that the the lower the cadence the more useful oval rings are

Thanks Victor. Great video. Do you think maybe fixed gear riding can also be a useful way of getting this training effect?
@82vitt
@82vitt 4 года назад
On the streets? Not really, as you want a controlled environment so your pedaling is as controlled and focused on the constant cadence as possible. Which is why he recommends doing it on the rollers so there is as little resistance and as much smoothness as possible so you can focus just on this and not be distracted. If you are asking about riding fixed gear on the rollers though, then there is no difference at all to riding a geared bike. It may even be better to ride a geared bike as you can find the right gear for your target cadence and not be forced into one by whatever chainring and cog you have installed on your fixie. They are good for velodrome racing and for hipsters for being pretentious ;). You can also try pedaling with no chain installed at all which some cycling couches prescribe to their trainees.

@Victor do you use latex tubes, and if so can you do a video on the proper way to install them?? I have tried and failed several times, cant get them to last more then 15 km before they blow.

@aounjose
@aounjose 4 года назад
@@vocsnor Ive been careful, used gloves, put in baby powder. Used every trick ive seen and nothing. Maybe its that I live in Miami with 80% humidity and very hot weather and this makes them blow???
@jl2525
@jl2525 4 года назад
Jose Aoun that’s weird. I use latex tubes a lot and have only ever had one blow. Have to be super careful putting them in and I think carbon clincher rim brakes can be a problem with the heat not dissipating? The Vittoria ones seem to be the best quality in my experience. Are you getting snake bite punctures from tube creeping under the bead?
@nunoprazeres1173
@nunoprazeres1173 4 года назад
I blew one on my first try but since then, no problems at all when but I do have to use a lot of baby powder. The type of rim and tyre play a role because you don't want to use anything else except your bare hands to close the tyre in. Quality rim tape is also an important factor because any little edge will make the tube blow. I can now easily install a Challenge or Vittoria tube in less than 3 minutes with Continental GP5s 25mm. Never had a puncture in the road (I will regret having written this...).
