WOW! Who would have thought these started out as they did! You never cease to amaze me with how beautiful you make your pieces. Great design eye!! Yes they care definitely high end. The gold pinstripe put them above other more plain Jane versions of the same nightstand so your design achieved your goal. Thanks again for showing us the work that you do. I had to laugh at your paint spill because I did almost the exact same thing earlier in the day when I decided to paint one of my guest rooms with a paint sprayer. Oh My Goodness if you have never used a spray gun and then learn using regular paint it was challenging and spilling the paint sort of capped it off as a perfect disaster day. No really I made friends with the sprayer in the end and the room is now primed but there were some comedian times when I was shooting the ceiling and parts were flying off the Wagner extension arm and paint cup. Good thing I covered the floors well!! Back to your work I am in such awe you are so fun to watch and do such a wonderful job!
I would finish the backs to conceal all signs of particle board. Finished backs is a thing now with so many having open concept living spaces. furniture that can float is more expensive with side tables being huge on that wishlist.
Wow..."Property of U.S. Government." Wonder where those have been?! I used to work for a DoE contractor and I remember sales of retired property, generally office-related, but I don't remember bedroom furniture being sold! I think they look really high-end now, and I can see them used as occasional tables in one's home office. Truthfully, I thought the looked cheap before, but now they're quite sophisticated. I like!
