Me too. Always fun and you learn stuff. Kinda like those old Schoolhouse Rock cartoons, but not really. I still don't remember what a conjunction is, but chalcopyrite... yup.

I enjoyed the update from that claim. Some great samples I must say, this channel is motivated, hard working and consistent. You have been truely educating and entertaining the general public. I have learned alot, thank you. Your views and subscribers should be higher, so I encourage anyone who is reading this right now to please watch a few older videos and I am sure this channel could use our feedback and support to help it grow!

The bulk average of the mine dump was interesting as it kind of mirrors what the old timers in Victoria (where I'm from) left behind in some of their dumps (range 8-15gm per ton cutoff). Clearly the cutoff grade reflects the style and ease of extraction in deeper mines I assume. Love your work btw.

I like the way you show the different samples and numbered them. I got to guess at which ones i thought looked the best. I guessed 5...7...8 ! I see why miners processed there rock at the site when possible. It takes money to transfer ore as it is weighty and you have to pay people in that process. Great video!

I commented a while ago on the "gold mineralization and mine adit found in a bedrock canyon video". Do You still think you will be obtaining a handheld spectrometer this year? I would love to see someone with vast geological experience such as yourself, whom ambitiously pursues valuable minerals, use one of those spectrometers! If I had the money I would just buy you one. Please get one! You should set up a PayPal/patreon fund to help with the expense. Would be soooo cool to see you use one in the field!
@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
Were looking into it for next year. We don't have the funds right now and this years almost over 😉
@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
You have a good idea of starting a patreon goal for buying one, trouble is patreon only let's you do monthly support or goal support once you choose one it can't be changed. We may set up a paypal if people choose to donate and want to see us do a bunch of videos with one we will set aside all the money for one. Maybe anyone who helps support the cause and wants there samples tested they can send them in and well do a video testing them and show them there results. You are probably one of 30 or 40 people who have wanted us to do this so we can see what people think of the idea!?

That's probably the route we would go over new, and get whatever minerals programmed in
@stujd1539
@stujd1539 6 лет назад
Now you have completed your sampling program what do you intend to do next. Obviously the old timers mined out what they considered economic back then. Is a drilling program in the pipeline? Big 💲's required for that!
@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
No drilling yet it's crazy expensive and you also have your permit and reclamation bond we would need ,$100,000 at least to do any decent sized drilling program we hope to option this along with a few others right near this one, I'd guess if we did a junior would go for an airborne survey first, then drilling.
@stujd1539
@stujd1539 6 лет назад
An airbourne survey seems like a backward step to me. An airbourne geophysical is done to determine if there is an anomaly present and doesn't delineate mineralisation so to speak. Besides, you know there is mineralisation there so it would be a waste of time and money. A ground based IP or CSAMT survey would give you a better indication of along strike and down dip extensions of the mineralisation and therefore some drilling targets, but it all costs substantial $'s regardless of what you do, as you well know. The other question is what was the production and grades from the old mine; is it worth chasing?
@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
The only reason I mention airborne survey is there's talks to option neighbouring properties if this happens that's one of the things mentioned by another tenure owner in talks so they probably would do the whole mountian covering our properties here. From my understanding they have never done one here or any work on the front side of the mountian. My guess is they would do a ground based survey as well, drilling as there are a few promising areas of interest.
@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
There are two main shafts on this property the smaller of the two had a single drill hole popped down beside it, with a decent grade of silver, over 7.1m, the shaft ended up flooding and was abandoned my guess is they would look at that as its fairly shallow.
@stujd1539
@stujd1539 6 лет назад
If your neighboring tenement/lease is considering doing surveys I would strongly advise not to waste money on an airbourne geophysical survey. They are a first pass assessment for greenfields exploration, i.e. unexplored ground. Your are in an area of known mineralisation and mining therefore you are doing brownfields exploration and should be considering appropriate methods. RC drilling is cheaper than diamond and if the RC results warrant further drilling then follow up with diamond.Just some friendly and FREE advice.

Wouldn't a metal detector be a better choice for location rather than just visual ?
@911mining

There so much mineralization a detector just goes off like crazy, the purpose was to choose samples at random and send it not pick the best ones.

What is the bluish-grey host rock with the oxidized exterior/rind called? I have been working up China creek on new road cuts and finding similar samples.

Your host rock is a kind of schist.

I don't know how the processing could be cost effective, a ton of rocks would take some time to remove plus the cost of processing I assume.
@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
Most of the higher grade ore is in a high grade pile separate from the main waste pile, sorting would be fairly easy. Theres an estimated 10-20 tonnes here. The other half of the high grade pile was dug out and used as surface material for a 100 meter stretch of logging road. Adjacent to the mineshaft.

@911mining
@911mining 6 лет назад
I have seen about 3 mines in my career of prospecting with fences. The trouble is they got knocked down within a year, logging tears them over people rip fences down..ect. There's a mineshaft 400 meters away from this one drops down 30meters with crosscuts, the entrance is 5 meters wide on all sides. Hasn't been fenced in close to 40 years.
