Lead is a highly lustrous, bluish-white metal. The element makes up roughly about one thousandth of one percent of the Earth's crust - about 10 parts per million. It is not considered rare, because it is fairly widespread, concentrates naturally by certain geologic processes and is easy to extract. It is almost always associated with some silver, so mines with lead ores are often called Lead - Silver deposits. In this video I take a look at lead and deposits of lead and silver together.
