i've listened to so many bands and went through almost all existing genres and i always end up with matt yelling through the house for several hours a day for 20+ years.

I saw them back in December, front row right in front of Matt. I made the mistake of yelling "Louder" between songs... then I saw Matt fucking around with the equipment... and the next song.... was much... MUCH louder. To the point where my earplugs weren't helping at all cuz the sonic wall was literally liquefying my organs.
LOL. I've been as a number of concerts where it was SO LOUD that your internal organs were jumping around. My girlfriend and best friend both passed out from it at a very warm venue. I had to drag them both back all the way to the back of the floor to resutate them. Volume that loud is not a pleasant feeling for sure. I understand how you were feeling. There's no excuse for the band to be that loud. They're basically destroying the hearing of their fans. Where's the sense in that? I'm a major Motorhead fan and they're fuckin' loud. Ear plugs are mandatory although I usually pull them out at some point as Lemmy just makes you want to rock as hard as you can. We all choose our poison.
Keith Russell I've seen them 17 times, and have left a few times, being deaf in one ear, for 3 days. High on Fire and Skeletonwitch are my favorite modern metal bands.
Saw them this past April on the Decibel Tour with Abbath and Skeleton Witch, High on Fire played so fucking loud, the floor was literally shaking, it was pretty epic.
Very much had the pleasure of doing a gig with these guys a few years ago. Best thing out of all of it, they were the nicest dudes ever. Just down to the earth cats who love playing music.
I hope this was some sort of joke.. Matt has never had an ego, dude shows mad appreciation for his fans. You can always tell how much he truly enjoys playing music for people, and how much fun he's having when on stage. Definitely one of the most down to earth dudes currently in the music scene. I'm glad he decided to get cleaned up from booze and shit, he has many fans who want to see him live a long healthy life writing music as long as possible.
