I just bought and set up this unit as a repeater. Best one I've used so far. I get good signal through a 1.5 acre property. I am using a TP-Link omada n300 right outside my house connected to my router and this unit 200 feet away on my garage. I find that by adding the TP-Link gave me about 20 more mgb on 5 g and about 10 on 2.4. that's a total of 60mgb on 5g and 45mgb on 2.4. I am thinking of maybe switching out the TP-Link for a dual band one to see if the speeds increase?

AP mode: if yo want to use LAN/Ethernet cable. You can use this mode as well for wifi. However, repeater will be good to extend wifi range.

I have two of these. One connected to a house router that we would love to leave alone. The second is connected to a trailer about 200’ away. Do I set both as a bridge or the house as repeater and trailer as a bridge? Thank you, good job but had to watch three times. Henry

I think the second option should work better. You can try different combination to make that work for you..

I have the same one & I use it in a trailer park.They changed the password this year & now it won’t work.My question is do you know how to to a hard reset?I have disconnected it for 24 hrs but it won’t connect.Thanks.

As a repeater / extender, is it possible to use it in DUAL BAND mode (2.4GHz + 5GHz combined)? Or can it only be used in single bands ? Greetings

Hi, I use it as extender at 5 Ghz and through LAN. It should work at 2.4 as well but I didn’t use at that..

@@ReviewerFamily thanks for the answer, I meant if in the settings it is possible to select the option "2.4G / 5.8G" (DUAL) or only the single band? I believe you could check this feature out (min 9:18). As do many NETGEAR extenders / repeaters. Thanks

@@Pascal_IU8CEW yes. If I remember it correctly then yes, it show option of both as wifi device have both option for both. I mostly use it for LAN connection.
